Enough with the FOMO
I know those new guns are new tech we discovered yada yada yada.
But why, other than FOMO, would you lock the ability to focus them behind a future weeks upgrade to failsafe?
It does not sit well with me that I was shown guns to look forward to only to find this toxic "the marketing team does gameplay now" scheme.
Please, no more blatant display of FOMO. Its been enough already.

The thing that’s dumb is it’s like if you already have maxed engrams, you are getting less rewards for not using them while airing until you can focus it. Bad system. Should have just been focusable right away. Doesn’t benefit the player at all to gate it.

All you have to do is the weekly BGs. They drop a ton. Calm down and just play even a little bit to get borders to drop.

They know alot of us if not everyone already have 99 engrams sitting at Failsafe cause they bank up so fast and act 1 was easy to farm. My main beef is that doing the act 2 content is giving me F all that I actually want. I don't want armor and I DEFINITELY don't want act 1 weapons from act 2 content. But hey, there's only 3 weapons so they have to polute the pool with the other 9 weapons, plus armor AND the 2 new weapons so that it keeps us playing. It's totally different to seasonal content guys! Even the way the story is being told is so new!

Play the content... I've done only the opening battlegrounds and already have 3 patterns extracted for the sidearm. One from the mission 2 from opening orbs at the helm.

3 RespuestasYeah it’s a bit much. They should’ve made it the unlockable perk this week instead Timegating loot in this way just leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouths. Thankfully next season we get a taste of it the other way (with likely only a raid or dungeon timegated)

What are you talking about? There is no fomo going on with that weapon lol. And there is no time gating, neither. I was able to craft the weapon without unlocking the perk to select it just from getting red borders to drop. Yall just impatient, and want everything in game without playing the game lol.

1 RespuestaYou just needed to do a little prep first. I have a crafted sidearm and I only need one more pattern for the pulse rifle. All I did was save engrams and bounties, use the engrams to get as many patterns as you can then use the bounties to unlock deepsite harmonizers for the rest.

Its been enough already.[/quote] Jokes on them i just spam opened engrams and got a grand majority of the pulse rifle patterns and 2 for the sidearm (or 3 i think) So them timegating it was pointless 😂

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the Fear of Missing Out(FOMO) a thing that the individual controls and not Bungie(or any one for that matter). I understand that time gating content can induce a FOMO in individuals, but it's ultimately a matter for said individuals to develop impulse control. Am I understanding the issue correctly? I am not one for time gating because I didn't time gate my money paying for the game to have some one tell me when, where or for how long i get to play said game, but FOMO I believe is something one needs to fall into, not something that happens with out control.

Ima be real you have to drink the next level stupid juice to call that FOMO. What are you fearing of missing out on for something thats not even out yet? Hell they will inevitably do what they do every year and make the red borders purchasable once per day. So what are you missing out on here? You have a better argument for time-gating but even then thats debatable because this is a mmorpg things should take time
