Buried Bloodline is not ejected from the final chest in the form of an Exotic Engram that must be picked up; it instead appears in your Rewards feed the moment the chest fully opens (regardless of your distance from the chest itself) and is sent directly either to your equipable inventory or your Postmaster.

If you saw an Exotic Engram being physically ejected from the chest, it was not Buried Bloodline.

All exotic weapons eject as an engram if you have no engram slots available

I have only done this a couple of times for the Lost Sector cheese to get the new seasonal Exotic armor, but as others have said the Exotic engram that drops from a chest is not always a weapon. Not only have Ascendant Shards dropped from engrams at the Postmaster, but also Enhancement Cores of all things. I believe this is a case of either a Prism or Shard as it would otherwise have ended up in your Post Box.

It is no longer possible to video this now, as both Ascendant Shards and Enhancement Prisms no longer go to the Postmaster. You may be able to find a video online regarding this if you search for the Lost Sector Engram cheese, but that is not something that I am willing to do for you. Feel free to keep the post up, no one is asking you to delete this post or attacking you for it. We are trying to reassure you that it was not Buried Bloodline because that is how the Postmaster system works.
