Bungie, in regards to Destiny 2, you NEED to serious stop favoring the Hunter class. It is almost to the point of absurd now. Do NOT simply see this as a gripe, just pay attention to the metric(s). That will shut up all feeling and opinion-based responses.
For example, look at the extreme imbalance in Guardian Games. Then look at the top of every score board from Crucible, Trials, Nightfalls, etc. You have made it to the point if a person does not roll a Hunter, then they will always be bottom tier on almost everything, every time, regardless how well they play with another class.
Here is a small scenario, take a Titan and put it up against a Hunter (or even Warlock). The Titan cannot dodge, warp away, roll away, go invisible, etc, all the while a Hunter with a sidearm, hand cannon, or bow can 1 or 2 shot a Titan from a significant distance, or throw a dagger for a 1-shot KO. They can also get punched by a Titan, and then punch back and kill a Titan in a single return punch, a Titan! You know the “Tanks” of the game. Seriously Bungie, those scenarios, and many others, are not even remotely close to reasonable.
In the game a Titan with an auto rifle would have to hit a Hunter 6 times in the head or about 10-13 body shots to KO a Hunter. Due to some of above Hunter perks, good luck keeping them in target that long or not getting 1-2 shotted in the process. This is only 1 example of dozens. Maybe it’s not even a good example, but metrics do not lie. Please stop, rebalance the classes appropriate to their roles!
If you have the time, maybe even make the weapons more reasonable to normal realistic applications. Some of us have actually served and used most of these weapons in real life, and the way Destiny 2 uses them is fantasy. I mean a pistol vs a rifle on distance, or a bow vs Titan level armor...
Thank you and I hope to see some positive changes.

Popularity =/= efficacy. This post is just chock full of so much misinformation, I don't even know where to begin.

2 RespuestasSolar warlock = best PvE class (maybe second best PvP class) Void Titan = best PvP class Hunter = cloaks

1 RespuestaYoure completely wrong. The only reason hunter does so well in GG and typically players at the top are hunters is simply because there are more of them. Hunter is by no means the strongest class, get a grip on the game because a hunter vs a titan is a clear titan victory if both are using the same weapons and the players are of equal skill.
-
Hunters won because there are more of the, Titans are winning because some hunters are using titan not and some using warlock. .

Okay thats one thing but ... What do you want then ?? Go invis as a titan ??? The titan was the OP broken pvp class for years , they finally got nerfed and you act like hunters are OP now ?? All the things you said about hunter abilities are in the game since day one . But now all of a sudden it makes the game unplayable ?? Go use a hunter then ??

Titans are busted Warlocks are balanced Hunters have been nerfed to death. Coming from a Warlock main.

5 RespuestasJust from reading that first line.....i can tell you play console. You should try PC where titans are everywhere and the most broken class in the game.

2 RespuestasI don’t have data to back this up, but I highly suspect that when it comes to the PvE side of the game, there’s more Hunters mains compared to the other two classes. Something like GG that is mainly focused on PvE, will show that more players are playing as Hunter. Secondly, you outlined what Titans can’t do, vs including what they are strong at, just to make your point. Titans: can put up a protective barrier, they have the easiest access to overshield, resilience is their class ability so it’s easiest for them to make strong builds- compared to the other classes, arc does have a OHK melee and a “shift dodge “ they have easy access to sunspots that cure them. Overall Titans have a lot of positives and many strong build potential. Their play style is supposed to be up close and personal. If you are having issues, you might want to try focusing on new builds and looking at all of what a Titan is. Not what it doesn’t do compared to the other classes.

1 RespuestaUsage Rates can be a poor indicator of effectiveness. 1) Different skill brackets use different loadouts. Example: Handcannons and SMGs are favored by players who win a lot, while Autos are favored by players who lose a lot. 2) Usage does not equate to effectiveness. Example: Hunters are the most used Class, but their average win rate is around 50%. Titans are the least used Class, but their average win rate is around 65%. (Made up stats for example only) 3) Players are not always concerned with winning and do not necessarily choose to use the most effective loadout. Example: I use a handcannon even though I'm better with SMGs, because I enjoy using a Handcannon more. 4) Sometimes, the most effective loadout is unobtainable. Example: a Hunter main could struggle to swap to Titan due to the time-investment required. Maybe a Void Hunter doesn't swap to Stasis due to the DLC pay wall. Usage rates are just one part of deciding if something needs a nerf, and you need more data to make that kind of decision. In my opinion, Hunters are pretty balanced in PVP since the Strand nerf.

Lol. Our run button is still too much. Barely anything about hunters works anymore due to the last whinefest.
-
Few incorrect things here. Throwing knife no longer 1 taps high resilience. Titans have dodge on arc class in place of barricade (make the choice what you value more) Warlocks can also dodge

27 RespuestasAh yes... I agree... Rework mobility, tie it to character sprint speed, if you want to go fast you have to spec into mobility. Careful what you ask for Hunter Hater..
-
Bungie doesn't "favor" Hunters - they're just the largest (by far) population. They are the easiest to use, have the most intrinsic mobility, and excellent perks. If you're trying to bring reality into this then you're opening a whole can of worms. But if you don't think a hand cannon (literally, in the name) can't 2-shot you then I think you're in for a really bad reality check. And other than snipers, heavy or fusions require at least two, if not three shots, with hand cannon's having one of the fastest TTK's in the game. But in the end, your attempt at mixing fantasy with reality is warped. There are Titans who are excellent at being Titans (Aztecross). Same with Warlocks, and Hunters. It's the player, not the characters. Lastly, if you haven't been around long enough, it's been pretty well established that Guardian Games is rigged. Hunters will lead for almost the entirety of the games, only for either the Warlocks or Titans to have a massively unbelievable, (and unrealistic) come from behind victory in the final seconds before reset. It's all for a great story, just like the Super Bowl, or the World Series, or NBA Finals
-
Hunter ults in trials are easily the worst of the bunch. Id take a bubble or a well anyday over a tether or blade barrage. Casting SS is an easy kill for your opponents. Maybe their skills are better but i dunno. healing wells and shields are pretty friggin beast.
-
They don’t favor hunters. Just look at the recent guardian games update.

1 RespuestaEditado por Itcus: 3/13/2024 6:29:14 AMMore anti Hunter tears? I luv them, they're so good. Please keep them coming.

You have 1 character that is a Titan. Although you are entitled to an opinion as we all are. Your opinion holds very little water in this matter. Create a hunter and play on that character for a while and then come and share with us.
-
No. Previous guardian games always had hunters at a handicap. It was the lamest woke equity play Bungie could do.
-
Maybe actually try playing as a hunter before you whine about imbalance smfh
-
you're totally braindead. try comp or trials as a hunter
-
Everything you said is false.

Waaaaa a Hunter kills me in Crucible waaaaaaaa Daddy Bungie Nerf them so I can be more betterer than them! Thats what you sound like. -blam!- on a Cross.
