Sony also doesn’t require PS+ for free games. The storefront page doesn’t say PS+ is required. It’s Bungie that states in game PS+ is required for certain activities (everything but patrol). So I don’t know if this actually is on Sony

It 100% is Sony. If it was Bungo, they wouldn't let you play the game free of any service on Xbox or Steam or Epic, etc, especially when they're owned by Sony. I think it's a dumb decision, but it's Sony's dumb decision. Mislabeling the storefront would also be Sony's fault and should be fixed.

Because gamepass technically isn’t F2P

Destiny 2 is F2P on Xbox and hasn't been part of Game Pass since before Bungie was acquired by Sony. Xbox no longer requires a membership for any multiplayer games, including Destiny 2. Edit: Can't find confirmation that this is true for all games, but I haven't seen a prompt for an Xbox subscription to play any multiplayer activities in D2 and don't have Gold or Game Pass.

Part of the reason I made the switch to PC. Yeah, you pay more up front, but at the end of the day, I got a decent pc for 1k and I don’t end up donating 60 (70 now) dollars a year for the next 5 years plus the supply chain BS that took place from 2020- (at least not as bad)

My PC gaming experience was so bad I’ll never go back. The next best thing would be an Xbox but I don’t like Microsoft’s bullshit DRM on there either. Every single game people crying about you playing on controller. Sometimes games don’t have native controller support. Constantly having issues with older games and having to downgrade drivers. Using third party software to make things work. Cheaters in every game and every lobby. Insane DRM. Lack of physical media.
