Trials Matchmaking is Bad Now
I’m on game one and the other team went flawless, the solo experience is bad compared to where we were last season. I was able to solo flawless every week with or without flawless pool on (I usually played on Saturday). Now it seems impossible to get past 4 wins even with updated mercy card. I’m not sure if lobby balancing changed or if my best connections are just to god gamers. Since this change every game feels like the lighthouse game from previous seasons. Card based matchmaking was just better. I’ve also had teammates throw the game just to go to the “kiddie” pool and when you’re game 4 with two clan teammates that collectively jump off the map that feels bad.

It's even worse when you just spent 12 hours to barely manage to get the lighthouse game only to match 2 players who 1 has 5 flawless already and still playing on Tuesday morning cuz they're literally a bum with no job and the other guy is on his lighthouse game with a mercy and they get put on the same team both with elo below 10 but my team is 3 guys top 20 elo or worse. And my teammates just run straight at them knowing they both have -blam!- fusion dieing immediately the first two rounds then one literally bails after he played like an idiot. Not to mention 2 mercies is not enough with this matchmaking cuz I had literally just got 5-0 the match before that. If teammates quit you deserve a lose protection. Also imaging playing arc warlock after they nerfed your melee twice while simultaneously not doing anything to fix melee registration when your melee actually does try to connect

First weekend is always rough, Bungie catering to their favourites so they can guild flawless for the umpteenth time within the first weekend, give it a few weeks and they'll switch it up again, but agreed it was godawful

They'll flip the matchmaking switch again and call it an update, hang tight champ

They just need to come out with destiny 3. Some players have been playing trials on the same maps for 5 years and Bungie thinks they can make matchmaking fair. Only way is to start fresh with new maps

2 RespuestasI think Bungie disabled Lobby Balancing in Trials (technically, they just set everyone's "skill" to the same number, which essentially randomizes teams) The change from Card-based matchmaking was both good and bad. [b]Pros:[/b] 1) Don't have to reset card when playing with a new team 2) Can leave teams mid card without screwing them over as badly. 3) Better connections and shorter queue times (less matchmaking restrictions always results in better connections) [b]Cons:[/b] 1) Not everyone tries as hard on their game 1 as their Flawless game. There's something epic about playing your Flawless game against another team also posed to go Flawless, and that rarely happens with the new system.

From someone who has played comp exclusive for the last month. And just went in for emblem. OMG was trials stupid easy. No 2 to 3 kd players every second game.

One other point. I actually like the no flawless pool because you can play with your friends but the matchmaking is so bad that I could never even get two wins. So flawless is pointless.

I’m just gonna say from my experience playing trials from the very beginning and coming from an average player. This is the worst trials has ever been, and it has been pretty bad over the last two years…but this current state is the worst it’s ever been, I struggled to get even one win this weekend. My friend and I went on 13 game losing streak. Please know we are both not absolute garbage but average at best…I would at least be able to get a few wins in the past. I’m of the mindset this is bungie’s last shot to make trials good.

its almost like they dont like pvp in the game and want to kill the game mode for good. anything they seem to try new is a total F up. just another post complaining about pvp will get treated like all the others and ignored. im not sure what planet bungie staff are on anymore.

Iron Banner match making is worst than ever. Also if the team loses to the match making. If we win the match then commendations unless we lose. Then I don't give any out, none, zadda, zero, no way, and so forth. I blame the mercy rule not giving out any special incentives so unfair like each season.

1 RespuestaTrials solo is like trying to hit the lotto… there are good players who get matched with two bad players or a bad player hoping that you get carried to 7 wins.. you just never know… I mean this week felt tougher than other previous seasons… but whatever it’s a video game..,

2 RespuestasIt’s not the matchmaking. With the new dungeon, trials was super low. I played at a time where there was only 13k players across console and PC. That’s how low it got. So this weekend was mostly only sweats because of this. I’d give it another week to really see how the matchmaking actually is. I don’t think it’s fair to tell based off that.

Just quit playing trials I did because they won't fix it until the population goes down. So I won't play it.

I'm not a fan. I also think it needs stricter rules of who can que for trials.

What they are doing is trying to get you hate destiny pvp so you will buy marathon! Don't waste your money because they will just do the same to that game.
