COD did it and it’s so fun hearing about streamers who switched games or sucked at events because they can’t play without cheating *cough* 3rd party devices 😌.
Edit 1: controllers such as scuff and elite are fine, they don’t macro or use scripts. I am referring to devices that actually script and control recoil etc,.
Edit 2: Seems like some people are upset about me wanting cheating devices banned, clearly y’all using some shady stuff if you feel the need to be upset about it 🫠

1 RespuestaBut I wanna use my 3rd grade platic recorder, you know that plastic little instrument. But for real, I wonder how many flawless players will be banned.
-
10 Respuestasthey should do it Not say it And lets see how many post about being ban for no reason pop up 😂
-
1 RespuestaNah, don’t ban them, make them pay with time. What they should do is wipe their characters and vault clean to blues and reduction of light level back to 1600. If you need to cheat to be good in a game then you probably shouldn’t be playing video games.

3 RespuestasEditado por kruze: 4/10/2023 6:04:08 AMThis thread is wild. Surely people in here understand that by “third party devices”, the OP is referring exclusively to the two outlier usb devices. The defensiveness against banning these in this thread raises some eyebrows. There might be a lot more trashcans using the usb devices than we realize, secretly, especially since they’re plug and play on Xbox and PC.
-
But then all the streamers who are railing against them but all use them them selves will stop winning matches easily.
-
Nah. Then how am I supposed to use my modified olive garden breadstick setup
-
1 RespuestaIf they account ban people they’ll just make a new account and do the same thing. Maybe they should account ban for the first time and if they make a new account they should hardware ban.

7 RespuestasEditado por THE SARGE 01: 4/9/2023 7:50:16 PMYou do know that unless your headset is branded the same as your game platform, it is considered a “third party” device. Therefore a blanket ban of third party devices is simply not the way to go. So let’s ban controllers with extra buttons because those also give an unfair advantage. Let’s ban controllers that are either larger or smaller than the original ones. Let’s ban high definition headsets because they give player better audio queues, which give them unfair advantage. Let’s ban gaming monitor use on consoles, because they are unfair. One more, how about banning wired controllers because they are more responsive. No input lag. How about gaming chairs? Gaming over any network faster than DSL? The list can literally go on and on and on. Someone will always be a victim, one thing will always have an unfair advantage over another.

4 RespuestasI think the real issue here is watching and listening to "content creators" 🐑

9 RespuestasEditado por THE SARGE 01: 4/9/2023 1:00:20 PMThe real problem are the third party devices that allow you to run macros. What’s going to happen when Sony and Microsoft come out with their own MnK for players who rather use those inputs? Just like when NES released the Power glove, or the xbox and PS released steering wheels for racing games. The fact is, the third party input device is inly an issue when it becomes something like a “Gameshark”, or “Game Genie” (am I showing my age?) where you can actually enable cheats. Without the ability to run scripts/macros or some other game altering cose into the game, you’re just using a MnK with the limitations (turn speed, sensitivity, etc) of a controller.

24 RespuestasEditado por Cloudserrr: 4/8/2023 11:58:25 AMIt has to be fair across the board for PC and console. If you are going to stop a device that uses macros for controllers on console, then you need to ban macro use on PC as well.

Whenever you have a competitive environment that rewards the highest level of players with elite gear, you will also find cheaters and the scum of the gaming world, and they will find all manner of ways to get around fair play. Move away and go do something you actually enjoy.
-
You can easily tell who uses them, for now just report and hopefully they will come up with a solution.
-
Bungie would loose to many players but I agree since where do you think the the people that bought them to find out they'd get banned in other games came too and thats destiny ,we had a chunk of ex players/cheats from fortnite join a while ago when fornite banned the usage of the adapters so makes sense to play d2 since they arnt bannable

1 RespuestaIf you want to be taken seriously, don’t complain about streamers. Destiny has like 6. If all of them were using a KBM emulator on console, which they aren’t, the chances of you ever seeing one are extremely low. You can complain about your issue, without turning it into a platform to attack a group of people you don’t like.
-
You know what they say? 3rd time is the charm.
-
This needs sorting urgently, its a major problem. i saw cross had a vid up showing that some companies are starting to tackle it, bungie needs to step it up. Its rampant. I just played this kid who was obviously cheating, checked out his clan and the motto is basically saying we cheat. Reporting does nothing.

Hopefully

It's getting there, but i REALLY HOPE ( @Bungie ) they get this rolling soon. Ever sense the streamers blew the horn on 3rd party devices, I've seen a huge up tic on extremely fast-moving players on console like they had MnK in their hands that hardly ever miss any shots now. Seen similar play styles on pc also. With all the cheating companies being sued, those low life customers of theirs, you know are switching over to these devises. I honestly never seen it this bad in the competitive play list.

1 RespuestaThey are looking into it… At least they just acknowledged them… But it will be an uphill battle for sure. Too much money for the businesses that build them.

3 RespuestasAre these things an issue among the higher skills or something? I Havnt really noticed much in the way of shenanigans where I say “that guy is cheating!” Console player but pve main. Very casual in pvp. Most of the infuriating deaths I get come from immortal jotuun and fusions. Laggy teleporting players are my achillies heel. I’d like to see smg’s toned down a bit. Servers stabilized and matchmaking improved primarily before I play pvp more regularly.
