Ok so Rohan must have come on-line in Neomuna roughly about the same time Ghost woke The Guardian in Old Russia, that is a bl*ody brilliant story beat. So brilliant in fact, that I am left utterly bemused that you decided to kill him now instead of in the final season of this year. That is an incomprehensible decision. The Guardian had so much in common with him & instead of picking up yet another mentor, maybe, just MAYBE we might have made a friend... So close guys, so close...

Don't forget the "I know what's at stake lightbearer, far better than you." Proceeds to never explain why & than dies.

Honestly, I think a lot of the story was rewritten again, especially the Cloudstriders. If you shoot him with the tank during the mission to destroy the Radial Mast, he actually loses armor pieces, meaning he was meant to take damage. It's possible it was for his death scene, but the explosion was so big and quick, it would have been pointless to code and animate small pieces of armor coming off of him. Considering that, and the semi passive aggressive tone he and the Neomuni people give early in the campaign, I honestly think we were supposed to fight the Cloudstriders on arrival. A sort of, not sure if you're an enemy deal. We probably would have fought Rohan specifically, considering his uneasiness of lightbearers.

His death felt too fast, too. Like, I just met this guy, and he's dead, and I'm like, well, dang, ik should care but I dont

5 RespuestasI agree. The death of Rohan was so rushed it felt inconsequential. They should have kept him around for at least the duration of the season. One of the many missteps in the Lightfall campaign narrative.

Rohan’s death feels meaningless to the player and that’s… really disappointing. Even Nimbus barely shows any grief until the post-campaign (try to show these cracks in his facade in the moment we’re supposed to feel sad, maybe?). I know practically nothing about the character and he dies before I can. They needed to wait on this one for longer, for sure.

10 RespuestasEditado por SuperTony: 3/9/2023 10:15:38 PMIn war people die. This is a fact. Ronan was the second. Here's another fact, someone is going to die every season until Final Shape reaches it's climactic ending.

Editado por Nox Lumina: 3/10/2023 12:34:28 AMI still feel like Nimbus should've been the one to die. Not because Nimbus is annoying (kinda is) but it was too obvious. Rohan being the last Cloud Strider, with not enough time to train a new one, would've put Neomuna in a much more interesting position. Maybe Osiris could have acted as a mentor for the new Cloud Striders once Rohan... Expires. But no, they went full Obi-Wan on this.
