Please explain further on [quote]Retune mods to give players more forms of expression, while also tamping down on areas of “power creep.”[/quote] It really sounds like you are nerfing mods hard due to power creep and you wanting to prevent that, as good as the changes are with mods it may turn out that Well builds are as useful as warmind builds. You should tell us soon what you are doing, this was literally the last change listed and was almost hidden after all the great changes you did as if to hide it. As well why are you removing Warmind Cell mods? They are extremely fun and enjoyable not part of a old era. Alot of people still enjoy them and currently the new dungeon bow works well and opens a new era for warmind cell builds with it

      • I mean. Warmind cells are worthless garbage. Most mods are pretty awful which is where part of that retuning is inevitably going to sit when it comes to rectifying problems.

Well yes, nerfs are required to address power creep. It seems they're doing so through a plethora of the changes, nerfing the mod itself outright, changing the build systems itself, and moving some of the popular mods into the head slot where competition for space is already high. I agree that more communication on what we're getting in return for said adjustments is necessary. However they were pretty up front with their wording on this TWAB unlike how they revamped subclasses. What I mean is multiple times in said Blog they said that not every build will be returning. Not every build that transfers over will be 1:1. Some modes were removed due to redundancy etc. While they could've done better with communication I feel like they were fairly transparent this time around. Aside from the fact that managing 3 separate "build cores" is too much for them to do it was indeed apart of an old era. We had a very extremely limited set of weapons that could generate these things automatically. Not everything that seemed like it could make cells did. Many people also demanded for more interactions with cells. Given that CWL is the focus of the system update and the (now armor charge) system has taken a good chunk of well related stuff it seems that WMC's were doomed to be left behind regardless.

          • I believe the reason bungie is bringing those changes is only in relation to their future loadout function. Make it simple is the only means they have to make it work. Even then, I fear a lot of “function disabled until we release a fix,” i.e season 23/24 or later.

          • I was wondering about some of the mods like powerful friends and radiant light that raise your stats in addition to what they do. My best armor set (and basically all my armor) is going to be done for if they don't buff stats the way they used to. I saw something that said they were both on the helmet now or something like that? That could be a pretty big uh oh. If that's the case that will be like thing number 5 slowing PvP down. Can't say for sure until its out though.
