Airborne effectiveness was added because jumps and movement were "oppressive"(imagine nerfing movement in a game instead of balancing weapons lol, but ok)for new players or casuals facing skilled/more experienced people.
Now there is SBMM in control too, (another bad decision, but I accept it more than AE)I don't see a reason to keep AE anymore.
Allow people who actually like movement move around the maps, people who prefer to spent the entire game at the end of the map can do it anyway.
Dynamic games are way more fun than a game where all the players are forced to spend 10 minutes behind corners with pulse rifles because the game punish you if you jump.
It also can be useful to "counter" some of the actual most overpowered, cheesy and unfair playstles, like invisible hunters waiting you behind a wall with legal wallhack(Kepri), or titans all the time behind his barricades with infinite overshield, and in both cases being able to spam it.
I think that nobody likes AE, just remove it. It promotes too much passive playstiles(and related builds/subclasses like the ones above), makes the game annoying, slow and boring more than it already is with the actual meta, pvp numbers in the last seasons confirm that.
Terrible meta+boring playstile=pvp dies. Save PVP, it keeps alive the game when there is nothing to do in PVE, like this season.

26 RespuestasEditado por kruze: 11/16/2022 10:15:54 PMThe main takeaway point we should all focus on is this: AE was introduced into the game as a way of directly introducing RNG to experienced players’ shots, giving the casuals a chance at gunfights. In other words, it was a change made to protect casuals who don’t want try to improve themselves at the game. Now that SBMM is in the game’s main playlist, and now that flawless pool protects casuals the same way, there should be no need for AE to even be in the game.

1 RespuestaIm fine with it. If you want to be able to blast someone from the air with some accuracy then you should have to build into that play style. It shouldn’t be a given to be accurate while in the air.
-
2 RespuestasI like AE but just wish Bungie made it so that you can build into it. I’d also make it less harsh and have it start off as an intrinsic stat on frames of weapons rather than weapons.

3 RespuestasAnyone who promotes nerfs to movement is simply a bad player who’s only reason to support is out of spite. With SBMM coming to every playlist they should automatically remove the slide and air changes. Let the game be fun again. This season was seen as one of the worst in the history of the sandbox for PvP. At this point we know what works and what feels the best. It’s time to get back to that. If you don’t like a movement based PvP sandbox destiny isn’t the game for you. PvP is probably not the game mode for you honestly.

bump, yes - AE needs to go. something no one asked for, implemented as badly as possible --- oh, this is BUNGIE lol. Change our perception Bungie - get rid of it, and instead of putting "effort" into fixing AE, can it and put that "effort" into things that really need it. Just sayin'

2 RespuestasI believe the only reason they actually did this, was just to nerf stompies in a way that didn’t kill it in pve Bungie couldn’t figure out a good way to do it so they basically looked at all the most used things, gave them the best way to counter ae and nerfed stompies by 50%

5 RespuestasImagine omif in Call of Duty they removed Crouching because of how players crouch spam while fighting. Oh -blam!-, this happens in Destiny as well... Oh no they may nerf it here now!
-
2 RespuestasHoly -blam!- go touch grass

3 Respuestasthe moment they started nerfing movement pvp got so much much worse and alot of ppls just quit destiny was praised for its gunplay combined with movement but ofc bungo pvp team is full of controller bots on couch with 0.2kd so here we are now, cant slide, cant jump soon you probly wont even be able to strafe and shot at same time coz thats too opressive
-
He is right it's a unnecessary stat it sounds good bun in the game where ads have super aim assist that will drop you out the sky fast and in crucible as soon you get in the sky you the first target to get shot at especially if your a warlock so WHY it feels this way made exclusively for warlocks especially solar but it's bad and solar warlock shows it 😒
-
1 RespuestaThey can’t because when Guardians are whipping around the place with strand they will have an even bigger problem than shatterdive. Imagine how busted PvP would be in Lightfall.
-
It's quite hilarious I know cod is different but it's hilarious how opposite they are and yet cod feels more rewarding
-
Yes please, us hunters would like to have our stompees back lol

3 Respuestas
Imagine nerfing movement in a game instead of balancing weapons
News flash!
Bungo didn't nerf movement
I'm pretty sure you can still run and jump and slide just the same as you could before.

1 RespuestaPeople still complaining about AE just shows how some people exploited it. It helped hunters the most. Hunter main average kid kept going up and up and titan/warlock was going down. It’s because of AE, stasis and invisible. Need to stop allowing things into the game that hunter mains can exploit, ie omni oops I meant gryfalcon, oops I meant stompers are still overpowered and the most used hunter exotic even after a nerf, let that sink in
-
It makes sense to get rid of it especially with strand coming out.
-
I like it
-
11 RespuestasI like it, and I think it needs to be more severe, tired of people just jumping around and somehow getting headshots.
-
18 RespuestasAE is in a great place and I enjoy weebs getting so tilted 🥰 keep the AE as is bungie 👍🏽

Movement nerfs are awful, reverting them would make the game so much better
-
Agreed!!!!

3 RespuestasWhile we are at it remove DISJUNCTION from PVP it’s the worst map in Destiny history, absolute dog shítè
-
4 RespuestasAnother day, another pvp complaint post This is why pvp is in the terrible state it’s in. You all cry about something new everyday
-
The change was to help PvE players. As long as there are more PvE players than PvP, the change will stand.

7 RespuestasCan't say I miss people jumping around with slugs and handcannons with no drawbacks.
