If we remove religion and all that other stuff out of this, the universe has Millions of galaxys but all the WAY past that where the CMB radiation stops, outside of that would we see other universes... could we even leave because other universes with there own laws wouldn't be compatible with objects that are from a different universe what would the outside of the universe look like... we will never know because it's ever expanding faster than light can travel

Remove religion? There is no purpose. We are all accidents that continue to reproduce to further our society. Then we die.

Editado por Autistic Tyson: 8/31/2022 1:04:21 PMI believe it’s about how you want to live. I struggled with this when I was a 13- 17. I really wanted to die I didn’t want to grow up and live an adult life. But now I’m chillin. My parents raised me for over a decade. I’m gonna make them happy. My goal in life is to settle down raise I family. Have my child or children not be P.O.S

2 RespuestasEditado por TheArtist: 8/31/2022 12:41:10 PMYou’ve framed any chance of answering your own question out of realm of possibility by the terms you’ve set. Exploration of the material and the rational, can answer the what and the how of the Universe and Life. But it can never answer the why. Which is why those who choose to look at life only in those terms risk having to struggle with emptiness and/or despair. Only by exploring and accepting the non-rational parts of our being…which includes the spiritual…does the possibility of answering why (and therefore the purpose of this Life) becomes possible.

Editado por MelonHead_Jr: 8/31/2022 5:14:42 AMNothing really, just think life as an open world game, you have no purpose, but you have a skill, developed or from birth. What you choose to do is all your choice. People use religion as a way to give life a purpose, take that away and it’s just life, no goal unless you give it one.

Editado por pValue2010: 8/28/2022 1:25:46 PMNot sure what your title and post body have to do with one another. What is your purpose? Well, I’d ask: according to whom? The question itself implies some conscious intention. So if you mean: what’s the universe’s intention for you? It’s not a valid question because the universe seemingly has no intention.

1 RespuestaIf you remove religion, there basically is no purpose to life unless you personally give it purpose by establishing goals.

Maybe life is just because it is. Maybe the point in life is to live. Yep one hundred percent questionable

There's no inherent meaning to anything, it's all chaos. It's up to you to find meaning where you can, if you wish.

My philosophy? Absolutely nothing. People are nothing in life, and will be less in death. But this quote from a book series (Skulduggery Pleasant) I read is about accurate
...the universe assessing it's own worth...
2 Respuestas
we will never know because it's ever expanding faster than light can travel
Actually the new James Webb telescope may be proving otherwise. I read earlier this week that with it's instrumentation that the far out galaxies are not as astronomers or big bang theorists expected them to be. It's too early to tell what it means.

Something something, the world ends with you, something something, make your own meaning, something something expand your horizons.

42. Otherwise, from just a logical perspective, to enjoy life and help others enjoy theirs.

It's all about perspective. Everyone has their own thoughts about this but they all boil down to simply live life. Go out and discover your passion and there you'll find your meaning.

1 RespuestaThese are all unknowns that go well beyond current scientific knowledge. I think it’s best to keep an open mind about such things. What is the purpose of life? In the absence of a definitive answer, we each make our own purpose. Mine is to enjoy and appreciate as much of my life as I can, while I can.
