Now this is a genuine comment. I was once bad at pvp games when I started out just like everyone else so I watched better players and looked towards myself to improve upon my skill and eventually got better. Bungie currently cater Pvp with SBMM towards the bottom half of pvp players in skill level but why do they have lower skill in the first place? Most likely because they don't play pvp as much as the superior players and therefore don't improve at the same rate as the others. Therefore I ask why would the developers of a game deliberately cater the game towards the people who don't play it as often? Surely this is backwards, I mean I'm not the best player in the world but I don't want every game I go into trials and control to be equally as sweaty because it means myself and many others who just play the game more often don't get any respite and are most likely unable to test out new builds or guns to the same level of enjoyment as the lower percentile (skill wise purely in pvp) of players.

17 RespuestasNo it’s not backwards: 1. Most people simply want to have fun and enjoy the game. CBMM creates an environment that is hostile to that end. 2. There are more average/casual players than hardcores. 3. It hard to monetize the interest of hardcores. IOW their dedication to the game doesn’t directly translate to more money to Bungie. 4. Pvp consumes lots of resources compared to pve. Especially give the difficulty of charging for pvp content.

12 RespuestasYeah, You don't want them to be "sweaty" while completely disregarding the fact that with CBMM, those with a lower skill ceiling were forced to sweat all the time regardless, just to try and keep their head above water in a mode where you didn't have a chance to win to begin with due to lopsided matchmaking. I have the world's smallest violin ready to play for you because you have to sweat a little now too with majority of the player base.

3 RespuestasThe terrible players are celebrating while they play their 3 matches a week and then dip lol

This sums up my outlook and experience perfectly. ❤️

1 RespuestaBungie knows their player-base largely consists of Jims with no hand-eye coordination so it’s not a surprise that they are being catered to on both sides of the game.

5 RespuestasAre you even thinking about what you’re saying? You stated that “you” don’t want to sweat in matches because you already sweat in trials. However it is ok for the casuals to sweat every single match in quick play and get stomped in trials as well? You complain that you can’t use different load outs? Neither can the casuals. The casuals to include myself basically sweat almost every match during CBMM. What you are experiencing now is what we deal with during CBMM and before you go there I play PvP everyday even though I’m not good. 16,000 kills last season. This move was healthy for the player base. Casuals make up the majority of the player base. Quick play was a literal sweat fest last season. Mercy after mercy.

More laggy lobbies in CBMM to.

Nothing wrong with fair matches… As long as the connections are decent….

26 RespuestasAs everyone said to the casuals playing before SBMM “Get good.”
