Bungie is garbage at coding anything that revolves around teleportation, it's been an issue since D2 vanilla and still is, they'll never manage to get it to work right because things like bells, enemies, items you gotta pick up, things you gotta shoot are all server side, everything is separate from one another, so when you have even a second of latency while running to a bell and ringing it the game would try to catch up with the lag it suffered, but it'll think you're not inside the ring despite the bell action triggering
This is WHY this was a horrible idea to have anything such as this, bungie tried to pull a "stranger things" just to wow people but at the cost of having something that'll sometimes not work right.

I mean if U were hit by a shutter would U be uninjured? Altho the animation is bad, like they just got a stock photo of, idk, red gradient thingy and called it a teleporty screen thing

They stated when going into nightmare but I agree nonetheless with how crap it all works

There is a lot of teleporting in the game, and I have never seen an issue with it. In duality if you guys are in completely different parts of the map, the bells can cause issues. But this is a first, it’s not typical.

It is typical after last week's update. And it's not coming out of the nightmare realm, it's going INTO the nightmare realm. Soon as you get teleported in, instadeath.
