Just a simple poll about raid’s exotics.
Not about how good ora bad are considered, but just a question about your experience to drop them.
Fun, epic, underwhelming, boring ?
My takes:
Collective Obligation: I wasn’t particularly after it, main reason to play VoW has been to get red border weapons, so when it dropped (12th run) I considered it like a nice add on. Not more.
For me: it doesn’t feel like a raid exotic
Eyes of tomorrow: same as for collective obligation. Getting a good sniper has been more difficult.
1000 voices: i started to farm for it cause of the past seasonal mod….just done some keys farming , cheesed Riven…and on my 6th run it was in my inventory.
Overall very useful (for one season, at least) but the experience wasn’t so good…very underwhelming. Cheese-run-cheese |run- cheese/run…open 3 chests…there you go.
Vex mithoclast: I’ve dropped it at the 20th run. I was chasing for it, the vault of glass raid isn’t the hardest in gane mechanics ,pretty rewarding though..so I’ve enjoyed my experience within
Divinity: my BEST experience has been the Divinity ‘s one . The raid it’s bugged as hell , the final boss being satan itself…many attempts, many runs failed, the puzzles, I get the divinity on a 3 hours run with LFG’s, just 5 minutes that Destiny’s servers get offline…with a frantic third phase at boss with no more pavements on our side 😅😅
But it has been EPIC fun.
TLDR: random raid’s drops could be enjoyable at the end…but even VERY underwhelming/ boring…while a quests to get them , even hard ones, could be very FUN (likewise the outbreak in D1) and feel more rewarding for players.
After all: we still run the raids for weapons/gear on an RNG base….why not tie the exotics to a quest like for divinity? 🤔

All raid and dungeon exotics should come from a quest after your first completion. Like divinity like gally like xeno not rng.

16 RespuestasWhat raid exotics should do from now on. The DLC where the raid dropped gives a quest when you complete the campaign. You do what the quest says. Last step is complete the raid. You complete the raid. You get the base exotic (craftable) You then level the exotic up to activate the perks/catalyst. You also get another quest from completing the raid that gives an ornament upon weapon level 30 acieved.

Editado por Say goodnight, Pipilly: 7/12/2022 10:08:07 PMBeing purely rng really ruins the satisfaction. Like wow I really did nothing to earn this except be lucky. Getting one early gets you spited by those who don't, all over luck. It was 10,000x better when they were quest-based like Acrius & Divinity. Everyone had the same path and nobody was upset about it. But hey Bungie is listening right?

2 Respuestasduality exotic is how raid exotic should drop from now

7 RespuestasI have a question…..about garden salvation ……so if youre on step 4 which is basically completed the quest for the divinity …..do i just need to finish the raid to get divinity ….? Ive tried to finsh it several times but theres always some glitch…..players leave….etc or do i have to redo the quest steps again??

As someone who has every raid exotic except mytho, I don't think they should be based only on RNG - ultimmately it's a really unfun expeirience when you see lots of people get several drops while you get none. Plus in the case of mytho, it was dominating pvp for a whole season and it was like 'well you either lucked out or you didn't. Bad luck protection was meant to have been put in but it either does not work or is so minimal as to be pointless. Raid exotics should be opbtainable in the same way Div was. Every player I've seen do that quest agrees that it's much more fun than just praying for a 1% drop.

Riven would have been a better experience if cheesing was patched :/

This is content baby. - Bungie

Nice. I'm on like 88 VoG completions and still no Vex.

5 RespuestasI assume its because of how simple D2 raid exotic quests have been. Thats all

2 RespuestasGarden Isn't buggy. Theirs 1 bug in the raid and you wouldn't experience it unless your farming the raid to quickly.

what do you mean with "The raid it’s bugged as hell"

Wait. There's a raid exotic?

I liked the d1 approach of quests after completing the raid. Especially outbreak having to solve the puzzles and stuff like that. Felt more engaging than kill x amount of enemies in x place or strike and had more of a sense of accomplishment

I've only gone after a few: Divinity: It was okay, it was lengthy for me (not a lot of really good groups to help) but if that wasn't a problem, it probably would have been better. 1k Voices: Got it on my first run with a Riven cheese. Loved this one. Legend of Acrius: Again, okay, but I didn't really like the quest Vex Mythoclast (have NOT gotten it): I haven't gotten this one but I love going for it. VoG is fun and pretty simple so doing it once a week (or multiple on those good weeks) so even if having to do it multiple times, I think I'll still like it. I think the problem with RNG raid exotics is the difficulty of the raid. If it's a simpler or just plain more fun, it'll be fine running it over and over again for it. But if it's a harder or less entertaining raid, it would just be a boring, difficult grind. If I hadn't been lucky with 1k, I would have hated it because I actually didn't like Last Wish even with the cheese. And it wasn't the people, I just didn't find it fun. It's just not my thing, so running it for an exotic would have been annoying. Of course this is just preference but, if the majority of people don't like repeating it over and over, then maybe those should have quests ( this would then have to be a thinking ahead for Bungie then).

9 RespuestasIt's horrible. Rng raid exotics is a dated idea that should go away. 10 clears or something should get you the exotic. Or a divinity quest, love doing that raid puzzle.

I personally hate raid quests. Necrochasm was a cool exotic I guess at first, had a very boring quest but an rng drop that still made it exciting and rare. Touch of malice was literally just run the raid, collect -blam!- or busy work and bam, a super niche exotic that was irrelevant outside oryx’s room. Outbreak is definitely an exception, quest was long and satisfying but left the final boss feeling kinda meh after you got the gun. Acrius is a cool exotic but the quest removed any excitement in getting The Raid Exotic. 1k returned the reason to grind a raid and added anticipation to each chest opening. Anarchy much the same as 1k Tarrabah was exciting to get and that’s all it really had going for it since the gun was useless with recluse and still kinda meh today. Divinity was a quest I had drop and completed within 36 min and was so underwhelming to acquire I often forget it’s a raid exotic, power wise it’s money tho. Eyes is hands down the coolest rocket launcher and was really exciting to get…. Fun ended there. Vex was vex and had nostalgia and power around the corner at its return. Was alot of fun to chase (dropped 34th looted clear for me) Vows I think was the first raid exotic period that I had literally no interest in getting, perks were exciting or flashy and the gun dropped early so I didn’t get the oh damn I want that gun feeling. All in all, rng is an unfair -blam!- but at least opens to door to anticipation even if the payout is meh, quests have largly been boring or tedious with mediocre rewards you vault aside from div. I’d say we need something unique from both sides, rng screws some people but is more exciting, quests aren’t fun at all and have no anticipation whatsoever. Maybe a pure skill requirement like flawless completion? Or a seal completion so it takes some time to get and some skill so there’s anticipation to finally get it and no one’s feeing ducked over by rng?

Your luck seems unbelievable to me. 30-something clears I still can't even get the Vex to drop, let alone all those others. And honestly I'm losing my motivation to even try, the RNG is just too awful.

Last Wish is fun with riven legit - one of my favorite encounters in D2 raids

I honestly wouldn’t be opposed to them making raid and dungeon exotics quest exotics from here on out. (I even have pretty great luck with them usually)… Heart Shadow has been the bane of my existence. Combined with having less time for LFGs over the summer, getting this has been a stressor. Quest exotics are by far the best way as it’s entirely deterministic and could include small challenges and secrets within the raid, and effectively give it to players after their 5th or so run.
