I’m really surprised Bungle made a raid exotic that really does not compare to any other raid exotic. It feels as bad as Vex Mythoclast when it first came out: underwhelming but full of potential. If Bungo can rework Vex almost entirely, then they can for Collective. I would suggest a complete rework of the Void Leech to make it so that it doesn’t take forever to proc a very mid exotic trait, and get rid of the cooldown because it just cripples an already mediocre weapon. The raid exotic is supposed to be the pinnacle of endgame content right? There’s no need for it to be so niche and require you to jump through so many hoops for a reward that just doesn’t feel worth it.
Edit: my idea of a reasonable buff would be to lengthen the Void Leech to 15 seconds and either remove the cooldown altogether or at the very least shorten it to 5 seconds.

Im fine with this weapon being an exotic, but as a raid exotic its very underwhelming.

1 RespuestaRapid kills procs Volatile Rounds. Would be very useful in add clear, and then suppress when you activate the leech. Would rather have that TBH

If I could get it to drop I'd let you know my opinion (21 and counting) 😂
-
Its trash. It should have been the seasonal exotic and Rhulks glaive should have been the raid exotic with some cool perk that makes it worth using
-
I agree. Raid exotics are suppose to be Pinnacle. Look at Anarchy, Thousand Voices and Vex Mythoclast. Collective Obligation seems like a waste of time really.
-
Editado por Amazinite: 4/28/2022 2:45:43 PMIt needs a neutral game perk, or more buff uptime like you said. Without the buff active it’s just a normal 390 RPM pulse with some extra damage against red bars.
-
1 RespuestaThe downside it the gun basically requires people to do the raid mechanics outside of the raid. You need to have your whole fireteam run the gun, be running void, and passing the debuffs. Like the leeching force. Neat idea on paper, not so great in gameplay.
-
Editado por Kord: 4/28/2022 3:14:05 AMI've gotten 5 of them so far, and until it get buffed I'm just going to keep dismantling them. I feel like they intended it to be like a rat king style exotic that it is expected for the whole team to use and trade debuffs and keep them rolling. It just is so fiddly, which makes it feel bad to use for far to little effect.

i dont think i or anyone else has the "collective obligation" to look at it .
-
9 RespuestasSo you'd take a very decent pulse and break it?
-
8 RespuestasIt first needs to drop for me to get me to care about it. I did a flawless Vow yesterday (unlooted week btw) and the fact that it isn't a guaranteed drop for doing that is ridiculous, same with Vex and EOT for their respective raids.
-
2 RespuestasThis exotic is just like the raid it comes from: 🐕💩
-
1 RespuestaIts incredible on a titan. Controlled demo, surpressor nade, weaken aspect. Have run it quite a bit and it is a monster when perks are up. I do agere it should have some sort of other perk when its main is not up. If you build for it, is very rewarding.
-
2 RespuestasI just dont like that's it's a one trick pony exotic if you're not playing on a void class or have someone else using it its pointless
-
My main problem with it is that it is literally worse than a blue (in pve due to how important perks are) if there is nobody running void. I would change it to where you can “””absorb””” other elemental debuffs (shock, slow, burn) but only those. That way you get more bang for your buck if you use void with it, since you can get 3 debuffs on the gun vs the 1 you get by running another subclass, but you can actually use the gun outside of void builds This would also make it useable when the other subclass changes come out
Still don’t understand why the perk is says leech since it doesn’t do that other than Bungie coping with how the gun relates to the raid
1 RespuestaWhile my gut reaction is to think it’s underwhelming after reading the perk description, it’s also refreshing to see a new exotic that doesn’t immediately make me think “oh man I need that if I want to do any damage to anything at all”. Damage output and exotics have gone hand in hand since week 2 of D1 and that’s been their biggest problem. Exotics should only ever have been niche weapons that do one specific thing very well and are fun to create a build around. They’re not supposed to be hammers. They’re best as precision tools that aren’t universally necessary but strategic and tactical in certain situations or make a certain build go from good to great.

I call the Collective Obligation the "Sad Mythoclast"
-
2 RespuestasNot all exotics need to be amazing when playing solo. I don't have Collective Obligation but after watching a CoolGuy video on it I find it rather unique and interesting. If you haven't seen the video I would recommend watching it. https://youtu.be/uCCxzOmqiqI This exotic seems to be at its best when your entire team builds into it, which is kinda cool if you think about it. Does that make it a niche weapon? Sure, but thats OK.

Editado por WulfPak666: 4/27/2022 1:53:04 PMHonestly a raid exotic being meh or mid tier is kind of the way it's always been with few exceptions. The only Raid Exotics anyone has legitimately foamed at the mouth over have been Anarchy, 1000 Voices and maybe Vex but that was because of all the Fusion Rifle buff mods we had during that season as well. Acrius wasn't well received but it got some use in PvP. Everyone hated Tarrabah at the time, especially since it had to compete with the miles better and easier to get Recluse. Eyes of Tomorrow was arguably only good at trolling in Gambit as the invader. If anything, The Exotic quest weapons have been better than the raid exotics. Whisper, Outbreak, Hawkmoon, Dead Man's, Gally, Lament etc... Obligation is a decent pulse but once the other subclass reworks come out, I don't see anyone using it anymore. You're kind of locked to a void subclass if you want to use any of it's perks and for an exotic weapon, that seems way too limiting.
-
1 RespuestaI think the best buffs would be to either change it so that you can cycle between the 3 buffs by holding X, rather than having to leech the buffs. Or remove the cooldown and make it so leeching works on champions and you can absorb any anti champion mod by shooting a champion, but it can only hold 1 at a time.
-
1 RespuestaI wouldn’t know. Only one person in my raid group has it out of like 70 total clears. Worst drop rate in the entire history of Destiny for all 6 of us.
-
4 RespuestasI used it once for fun, I felt like I was just using a vanilla Pulse. Worst Raid exotic ever. Even Necrocasm and Tarrabah are better.
-
It doesn’t even compare to something like graviton lance. It’s trash and requires certain aspects or fragments.
-
Agree. Very lack luster out of the box. Insidious is a far better option. I'm hoping it'll get a huge rework and a catalyst.
-
It will likely break some end game content in the right teams' hands. It's not a solo play weapon. I think Bungie released it right where it needs to be. Once a large population of players get it and coordinate with it, then it can be tweaked. I've gotten it, but none of my friends have it, and I know it's useless on its own, hence "collective obligation"
