So after spending €120 on Witch Queen Deluxe and Beyond Light, I raised my light level to 1575 and look forward to the doing a new GM (Scarlett Keep) only to find that it is locked behind a 2.5yr old expansion (Shadowkeep).
How is this a thing Bungie??

1 RespuestaIt’s just their appalling business model where you have to buy old content that is completely irrelevant to stay relevant in the game now.
-
Editado por Spider: 4/8/2022 9:58:54 AMI think the dev term for this is “f**k you” I’m sorry to hear that, it is pretty greedy.😔

6 RespuestasBungie vaulted forsaken and "gracefully" gifted us with three forsaken tokens that you can use in the monument of lost lights. So those who bought the "legendary edition of D2" should feel shafted. I'd would rather have forsaken content on the server. As the Forsaken campaign was worth playing, because Cayde - 6 was one of my favorite characters in Destiny 2 Feels off playing strikes and his voice appears like nothing happened! Nathan Fillion made that character his own. Really good performance! "FIREFLY" 👍

9 RespuestasYou need to ditch destiny. Elden ring is really good

Haha. I forgot that was a thing. I had to buy Beyond Light to use stasis, I didn't buy it because it was good ... it is what it is. Shadowkeep is actually a good dlc fyi, but it is old.

Or wait for next week?

6 RespuestasBungie should adopt the WoW model, everything except the latest 1-2 expansions should be F2P. Cuts down on the amount of different versions of the game on the store page and can easily drop a bundle for both of the paid expansions each year for new players. But Bungie is either greedy or just inept and won't do this model.

It’s unfortunately probably going to be like this as long as older content that was made when they weren’t independent remains in the game. That’s just my guess. It sucks right now, but with the DCV and rotating, temporary content it would be better for them to move to a subscription based service. That way everyone that buys in has access to everything in the game.

Look I mean.......... Bungie does not respect people's time or enjoyment at all. There's like, the smallest, tiniest, most pathetic minority of the gaming community that likes super try hard -blam!- and wants to gate keep everything and so bungie says "-blam!- you", Freerad. "-blam!- your investment and time and effort, you get nothing so that one guy who got their's can feel special. *shrugs* This is the game you bought. If you want something fun, creative, has interesting game physics, and is a joy to play, there's a game called Wonderlands that just came out. It's better then this game in every possible way. Except. That they don't have the game rigged to keep you playing it forever.

You need to throw more money at the screen
-
6 RespuestasAlways been like that. If bungie were half competent, they would have two rotating nightfall playlists. One with all the DLC, and the other with just year 1 strikes.
-
29 RespuestasIt's called greed, I would add that it lacks foresight, but that would be wrong as it's exactly what they wanted to happen. You know the drill. 1. Open wallet. 2. Take out cash. 3. Throw cash at screen. 4. Thank Bungie for being the absolute best.* *4 is optional, you can call them out for the shallow greedy c*nts they are if you want. Remember folks once your done with Witch Queen you're back to the same old same old.
-
Old dlc ownership should be included in the deluxe edition of a new dlc- the one that gives you everything. They did it in D1, so they should do the same in D2.

Editado por Demon_XXVII: 4/7/2022 10:23:05 AMAnd now within 5 weeks of release (into the 6th week now) It (WQ Deluxe & 30th Anniversary) is all on sale for around 20% off And D2 Legacy Collection (inc Forsaken pack, ShadowKeep & Beyond Light) is £27 on Consoles, £24 on Steam Feels harsh when some folks have paid out full price only weeks ago (and some of us have supported the day 1 releases ever year)

Editado por NerdslayerNo1: 4/7/2022 10:12:09 AMthe game is full of things like that. the game caters to people that want to fork over money without a thought. what's funny is I played shadowkeep on when it was included and had bounties completed but i dropped stadia a while back and now i have completed bounties on my playstation that say "go to the lectern" so you can get the reward but you can't actually turn them in.

Editado por CUROCH: 4/7/2022 9:47:53 AM😂🤣😂🤣. I guess it’s hard to understand. If you want to play the content you must purchase the license to play the content. I know right, hard concept to grasp.

5 RespuestasWhat, people get what they pay for or don't get what they pay for? What made you think you'd have access to Shadowkeep content when you only have Beyond Light & Witch Queen?
-
1 RespuestaShadowkeep will probably go free in like a year and there are often sales for it.
-
Editado por Sweet Lew 88: 4/6/2022 9:12:40 PMIt's been a thing for 6 years. You probably could have predicted this.... Maybe they do it to sell content? Like any business...

Nightfalls and GMs are tied to the expansion they released with....
