Of the TWABS or patch note articles said that they have identified the problem but the fix is more complicated then they have thought it would be

Ya… Bungie was caught lying twice. I’m not buying it.
-
Why so pessimistic my guy? For starters, they really have been nothing but honest in their twabs, they've been actively listening to the community about trials reworks, and everything they promised with witch queen has come. Maybe not like how most of us thought it would be, but they did. Now on this topic, are you a programmer? Cause I'm sensing a degree of you just saying fix it without any regard to any of the technical challenges that might come with fixing this

It’s fact, they got caught lying. You don’t like that dark cloud, too bad. Go back to living in your la-la rainbow sunshine land of pretty.
-
Wanna site your source on the lies ?
-
Seriously?!? Look it up yourself you lazy F
-
Ah yes Insult and can't source anything Yikes L

Still no source uh

One of the biggest lies they were caught telling was way back at the start of D2's life, the XP throttling once you hit a thresthold, they initally said it was a bug before admitting it was a scaling system that "wasn't working the way we intended". https://massivelyop.com/2017/11/25/destiny-2-deactivates-scaling-system-after-players-discover-xp-throttling/ https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46494 Personally I'm not sure how dieliberately adding code to reduce xp by 80% that in fact reduced xp by 80% wasn't working the way they intended, but hey I'm no coder. It certainly wasn't to reduce the bright engram drops and force you into mtx purchases for Eververse rather than grind xp for them, no it wouldn't be that. Bottom line is people don't like it when you p*ss on someones leg and try and tell them it's raining. You could argue it was 2017 but you'd be missing the point, people lie, companies lie, especially when there's money on the line, Bungie are no different to people or other companies, to think they are is delusion above and beyond. Personally I think the low quality exotic drops on Xur are just so you can get a piece if you're missing it from your collection, once you have it you can grind it from lost sectors for a better drop, Bungie might say otherwise but I take most of what they say with a pinch of salt. Form a coding POV on how this affects Xur is a question i can't answer, but Bungie have lied in the past and it would niave to think they wouldn't lie again, in this case I don't think they're lying, I just think the engine has some serious issues that make some fixes incredibly hard and or complex to resolve, as good as the game feels, and we can all agree for the most part the game and gunplay are very very good, some aspects of Destiny are god awful to the point of absurdity, don't get me started on the inventory systems. It is worth remembering that if there's one thing the gaming industry has shown us over the last 10 years it's that there is no level they will not stoop to, no lie they will not tell, to protect their bottom line or to protect their reps after failure or error. Worryingly though it also points to something worse, we as gamers have by action and inaction allowed this to happen and become the norm, as bad as the lying was, and the reasons behind the whole xp throttling, namely to push players into mtx purchases rather then grinding bright engrams, there were people in the community that even acted as apologists for the lies, Bungie did it because they knew that even if they got caught, which they obviously thought they wouldn't, like most liars, but if they did get caught they knew they could ride the storm and get away with it because of the attitude of gamers generally and what they are prepared to accept no matter how sh*tty the action. Personally I think it's a good thing for us to be reminded of how Bungiew have behaved in the past, just to keep us, and them, informed and honest. Apologies for this wall of text, it turned into a lot more than I expected.

Lmao a 6 page essay written on how Bungie hurt your feelings. You people are ridiculous.
-
The guy asked for sources, what were you expecting?
-
Thems some mighty small pages you got there bud. I'm too old and pragmatic to be hurt, I'm also too old and pragmatic to think that Bungie would behave differently to the rest of us. You must be one of thos apologists I talked about, maybe I hurt your feelings? Or would that be ridiculous too?
