That actually track? If an enemy rolls to the side (pve), or if a hunter dodges (pvp)...that tracking does jack crap.
Gjallahorn seems to track pretty well...but it's behind a stupid pay wall, and I'm not paying for one good rocket launcher, especially when I grinded for that stupid thing twice in D1.
Your business model is slimy, Bungie.

1 RespuestaEven gally doesn’t track well, it just has grenade & horseshoes like truth.

3 RespuestasEditado por Canadia: 3/18/2022 8:45:02 AMThey just nerfed tracking rockets for PvP only, in PvE tracking really isn't much of an issue when you can just shoot the ground next to them. Tracking was a little bit stronger in D1 but you gotta take off the rose colored glasses when it comes to D1.

4 RespuestasEditado por Le_Reinforcements: 3/18/2022 5:57:22 AMCheck your velocity, as faster rockets tend to track worse and miss targets more often. Also, sometimes you're either going to have to bait the PvE enemy's dodge or fire a rocket from above them so even if they sidestep you're guaranteed some splash damage. Try to never just expect to hit a bipedal target head on, always aim for the ground near them from above. As for PvP, same principle; aim to take advantage of splash damage/AoE, rather than direct hits. Tracking is more for targets that are far away/unaware of your presence (which is why they were so annoying in Gambit, until Erianna's Vow took the spotlight). Remember, slower rockets track better, and it's better to fire from above and hit splash damage than to fire on the same level and miss completely. Edit: Any Hakke Precision frame Rocket will come with tracking automatically, and the exotic Truth may be better than Gjallarhorn for tracking thanks to it's exotic perk, which cause detonation on proximity to the target, rather than on contact with a surface. Still, tracking rockets did get nerfed recently, so they're not nearly as free as they were.

2 RespuestasI think icarus grip helps. Other than that if you're just standing there and shooting a rocket it shouldn't necessarily just track right to the person and kill them. Should probably have to do at least something unless its gjallarhorn or I guess jotunn. The game doesn't need to be full to the brim with tracking stuff.

14 RespuestasI mean if you ask me the dodge should kinda, dodge... But I agree that it needs some PvE intensity. Small movments from enemies seem to really outjank it.

1 RespuestaTruth? Next best thing compared to Gally.

They did nerf them.
