There a more questions that come up from this expat in regards to the nature of throne worlds and how they work.
First question that appears is post exorcism of Savathuns worm when she died in front of the traveller why didn’t she go to her throne world. A worm or being hive is not a necessity in crafting or using a throne world and has been shown three time with Mara, Toland and The Mindbender. Why was it only after she was resurrected by the light does her throne world suddenly function again?
Second question- We kill Savathun and though her ghost escaped for all intensive purposes she has died a true death (a ghost is the only known way to come back from a true death, as far as we know) therefore why is her throne world still intact. Oryxs throne world was described to have crumbled though this more refers to its connection to the ascendant plane as the dreadnaught is still in tact. The mindbenders throne world crumbled as well. And in my opinion I feel like with Crotas it too bled into the material plane on the moon considering we didn’t enter a portal to get there meaning what we went to in the Taken King expansion was just the physical area of his throne world but not connected to the ascendant plane anymore much like the dreadnaught.
So why is her Throne world still intact after her death.
Feel free to bring on all the theories.

She realized that they'd made a Devil's Bargain with the Worm Gods, that enslaved them to an eternity of murder and genocide. She flew into a rage when realized that she'd had been targeted by the Worm Gods and manipulated into making that bargain That Cut scene was her act of surrender to the Light. She showed that she wanted out from under the Darkness so badly that she was willing to risk it all....to simply die to escape it. While she was afraid that the Light wouldn't have her, she wanted out from under the darkness so badly that she was willing to risk it all. Which, imo, is why the Light chose her. What the Vanguard need to realize is that this conflict between Light and Dark is NOT one that is between Good and Evil. Imo, it is a conflict between Life vs Death...Creation vs Destruction. Order and Harmony vs Chaos and Conflict. Savathun won The Traveler over because she showed that she was willing to give up everything to switch sides...and validate Her original wish to grant Savathun the Light. 2. Oryx died his final death IN his Throne World, along with his worm. Savathun did not. Mara yanked out her worm....and then Savathun died at the feet of the Traveler. Then was resurrected by the Traveler. So you can't really compare what happened to Oryx with what happened with Savathun. Especially since Savathun's worm is still alive. . Also we still don't know what Savathun's end game is. She gave up her Darkness power willingly. She gave up immortality....willingly....to be free the Darkness. She didn't steal the light....she was given it by The Traveler, just like we were. She did not die a final death. Her ghost is still alive, and can still bring her back. We also learned that if it hadn't been for the treachery of the Worm Gods, the Three Sisters would have been granted the Light by the Traveler. So it is still a possibility that we may wind up as reluctant allies with Savathun and her Hive in a fight against The Witness, just like we have become allies with Caital and her Cabal. The Enemy of my Enemy is an ally. [/spoiler]
