Don’t nerf eager edge

Eager is just able to spice the game up and any of the out of bounds you can do with it are just as easily done without it

  • Not true....and Bungie is tired of having to police people glitching into raid areas with swords. It was a HUGE problem with people doing it prior to the raid lauch with "Forsaken" and it gave the people who did it an advantage in the Day One Raid race.

    • You know what's really weird? Why is Bungie doing this because of OOB stuff, when they could just do a better job of dealing their maps? Seriously, where are the invisible walls? Map creation tools in this day and age do so much work for devs, yet holy hell the amount of areas that you can just *walk* out of bounds is insane. No joke. The ascendant ley line thing is a a major culprit. No swords. No ability jump. No icarus dash, no shatterdive. Just go right into out of bounds simply by sliding or doing a lil ole bunny hop. Zero effort. And even without the OOB, good lord did some one, no, a NUMBER OF PEOPLE, absolutely fail in every definition of the word to even apply textures correctly. There was a lot of one way textures in that activity. Visible on one side, see through on the other. In obvious places. Likes you don't even have to snoop around for them. You can play the activity and just see how a room you walked into has a wall that shows the outside world, despite it being completely enclosed from the other. No joke when I say that Bungie should have access to tools that allow them to easily wrap and define the allowable play space. Like, they can make a cylinder, drag it out to be as long a tube as they want, and push it out to be flush with the visible map geometry. They can be lazy and make it be just outside of the visible terrain so that should someone somehow OOB, they die upon contact or just get stuck in between the barrier and the physical terrain. Weird part is that the crucible play spaces are excessively strung together. Like, map height being unexpectedly lower than it looks. Death barriers being way higher than you expect when falling off a map. And man oh man, is the Dreaming City OOB a trip. Even in D1, the Black Garden had a crazy trip of OOB that allowed you to load different mission states. So you can OOB in one mission, say one of the vanilla ones, walk around the endless white blocks, and by some magic, you load a TTK story area with taken blights and screen effects, but still in the same mission. And you can OOB all the way from the entrance of the portal all the way back into the metro tunnels. Crazy stuff.

      • That part of the perk needs no nerf, rather a buff. The player killing ability outside pvp needs to be removed.

              • Broken af in clash. Heavy drops rapidly, constant EE abuse by using the speed glitch to negate damage taken. Ever seen any guardian survive double heavy linear shots to the chest & head at 10-15m which is almost point blank range? Me either, until an EE user traveled so fast the game couldn’t calculate damage so it just gave up and said “no damage done” while I get a mach speed sword to the face. The griefing has slowed significantly since they announced the nerf, I’ve taken notice of that as a complainer of EE abuse against guardians.
