[spoiler]Thire, we're gonna continue from here. When reply chains go on too long, they glitch out.[/spoiler]
Unfortunately, trying to weave through the serpents proved far too difficult, and one winds up striking you into the back! Upon contact, it turns into fire, and continues charging at you in a constant well of flame, pushing you to the floor!
One it had finished, you felt your back in quite a lot of pain. Best not to take one of those again. Though, another serpent was already heading right back for you!

[spoiler]Since it’s been a bit, a quick catch up; You beat the giant 4-armed wall monster, but now its head is floating, surrounded by spinning black rocks. It summoned a field of hands from the ground to attack you, as you try to get closer to finish it. One of your legs is broken, so you were getting around with jump boosts, but that makes it hard to move small distances. You don’t need to destroy the tiny hands, just the big guy. The serpent crashes into the shield, and once again turns into flame on contact, creating a stream of fire crashing into the shield. Though your defense holds, you get the feeling it couldn’t handle a second one. Right on cue, another dives towards you, as you start running towards the hand! [spoiler]Sorry for not answering your question, we were grtting close to the reply cap in the other chain before it stops working. Don’t feel dumb, though, this attack is intentionally hard to counter; only the most creative dodges will be aboe to avoid them entirely![/spoiler]

You swat at the serpent, and as you do its head turns into fire, and gets knocked away! ..But the rest continues flying at you, and you take a direct charge to your chest! It strikes for several seconds, throwing you backwards against the beast’s hand, though now with some heavy damage to your chest.. You get the feeling you can’t take too many more hits.

[spoiler]No one strategy works against the serpents. You’ll have to use a combination of techniques to avoid them. Dodging, blocking, attacking and so on. On top of that, you’ll have to be creative with how you dodge, because they’re too maneuverable to be fooled by simple sidesteps & rolls most of the time (though one or two is okay). While they can’t be killed, attacking them can veer them off course, but once again it’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Don’t look too far into it (‘cause spoilers), but you can check out Alignment’s chain for an example. He’s really good at keeping things fresh, even though he has a relatively small moveset. And remember, your goal isn’t to eradicate all the serpents, it’s to strike the eye on the monster’s hand. Currently, your back is pushed up against said hand, but it’s firmly pressed against the ground. Also, there’s no serpent coming towards you at the moment.[/spoiler]

*Thire stuffs a grenade under the hand and dives out of the blast zone*

You try to force the grenade under the hand, but then you realize they’re basically water balloons, and it would pop all over your hands the second you forced it in. Probably best to do something else. And hurry! The serpents seemed hesitant to dive towards you while you’re near the hand, but they wouldn’t hold for long!

“Might as well have some fun with it.” *Thire moves away, tosses the grenade and shoots it right before it hits the hand*

The hand recoils from the blast, and lifts itself slightly off the ground. It was still facing downwards, however, making a direct attack difficult. Regardless, now that you had backed away from the hands, the serpents immediately dive back into action, two of them lunging for you!

[spoiler]I’m assuming they are coming from each side.[/spoiler] *Thire waits until the serpents get close, then he drops into a prone position, hopefully getting the serpents to hit each other*

[spoiler]Wasn’t my original idea, but I don’t see why not![/spoiler] The two serpents crash into eachother right above you, however this might have backfired, as they erupt into an explosion, immediately overhead!

The shield manages to protect you from the majority of the explosion, however the recoil sent the shield back at you, crashing into your chest. Still, you were relatively unharmed. As you head for the hand, another serpent charges, though! You needed a way to pick up speed!

*Thire stays on his back and jump boosts across the ground to the hand*

Your plan works, and you slide underneath the hand! However, not all was well, as it immediate comes down to try and smash you!
