not receiving pinnacle gear that is a higher light level than my base level

This has happened at least half a dozen times. I finished my 3rd crucible, gambit, or playlist strike (and yes. i am using the matching subclass type). i get the weekly achievement, the gold star, is no longer there by the activity. yet i do not receive anything that is a higher light level than my current level, no pinnacle gear is rewarded my gamer id is The Broken Gamer#0418 Please help

  • 3 questions: 1) Are you talking about an individual item not being higher than the one currently equipped? 2) What is your current light level with max gear on? 3) What was the light level of the item that dropped? Going off your currently equipped gear on your Warlock (I just went with the highest light character you had), I would say your warlock is @ 1325 2/8. This would mean your pinnacle drops from playlist activities would be dropping @ 1326. If it fell into your 1326 equipped gear, then no, it isn't going to be an improvement. You need an energy weapon, power weapon, or boots to drop, nothing else will help you increase. The grind is SUPER slow if you are simply doing playlist activites alone, and the RNG behind it will feel painful when you don't get the drops you need. If you have access to other pinnacle activities other than playlist ones, I suggest doing them too weekly.

      • I have played with him AS this has happened. This game is HEAVILY dependent on light level... what is the point if he is going to get robbed of his rewards after putting in the effort?? I have seen this happen to him time and again. What I am ALSO seeing is nobody taking the time to even REPLY (even with an "I don't know" or "that's strange, we'll look into it") to this paying customer. I really want to have faith in this company but it feels like it's all falling apart.
