Any one else done with destiny?

I wanted to hear from the people that either no longer play destiny or don't plan on purchasing future dlc's. I don't play anymore since hitting 100 on season of the lost and even that was a bore. As well I have zero intention of getting witch queen and don't get me started on the 30th anniversary cash grab while this (paid) season pass is not even finished. If anything, ill get it six months later for 20 bucks a rip through the meager content in a week and won't have to wait for all the time gating. My choice is mine and it is made, after playing non stop since 2014 (good job bungie). I won't be paying inflated prices for regurgitated content and weapons that goes stale in a month AND THEN have to pay for several season passes for basicly nothing of worth. But I digress, I want to hear from others on the subject and hope bungie is listening. I want to be clear, I have zero issue with people sending all the hard earn money they want on whatever they want , I just feel bungies business practices are hurting their chances of keeping their most loyal customers, Let's hope this thread can stay factual and civil lol

    • I played for a short while Tuesday to work on collecting the sidearm while waiting for the Halo Infinite campaign to be released the following day. After I get the weapon I will return to not playing. I am not paying for anymore crap content, horrible PvP, and annoying social issues every month. Halo is such a superior game that I cannot imagine returning to D2. Thus far I have played 550+ PvP matches and loved every minute playing them. It made me realize how bad Bungie is at developing PvP. No more grinding, multiple currencies, worrying about drops, and many other problems with D2.

        • I have breaks, I have periods when I play more and periods when I play less. Some people seem to have this love hate relationship with the game.

        • I stopped sept 1st cause i needed a break. Found myself getting mad at the tiniest things and just complaining too much to where my clan was probably close to strangling me. I tried to play again last month but couldn’t get into it. I turned it on today and just floated in orbit trying to decide if I’d actually play enough to get my money’s worth out of the update if i buy it. Turned it off and hopped back onto an mmo. One addiction to another🤦🏼‍♀️

        • I stopped. It's too boring. For a while I was just going to Xur when he had some armor pieces i was missing just for collection purposes. but then i ran out of legendary shards because i wasn't actually playing anymore. in order to get any more missing armor from him i'd have to play and get more legendary shards. the thought of grinding this game for shards... nah... it's cool. i decided that's probably a wrap. D1Y1 vet here that had high hopes from the great Led Zeppelin 'become legend' commercials... from the makers of Halo. Now? it's just a boring repetitive mind-numbing chore with shiny things.

Along time ago. Its just a casual for me now. Can't be bothered with all the dismantling. End of the day anything in this game means nothing. You'll use it a month and either dismantle, vault it or have it taking off you.

        • Infinite has definitely been taking most of my gaming time. Destiny is still kind of fun though.

          • I will still play destiny 2, but I will not buy the 30th anniversary or witch queen. Anything they release here after is also dead to me. I am glad I waited 6 months after forsaken was released to get it. Saved some money there, and didn’t miss out on anything. I suck at trials so no need for me to ever play it again, no need to stay current with DLC’s. The seasons keep things going in between. I won’t even buy them either. So ultimately I’ll miss out on some of the exotics, and new weapons. They made my armor load outs less valuable with the ability and super nerfs. No need for me to do endgame activities to re-acquire materials, no incentive to build craft. TLDR: I will play their regular playlists and just be happy with what I have. Ps5 collections and monthly releases will be gladly scooped up for free, now that I’ll have more time to play other games.
