If 10/12 players lag so hard you can barely kill them and only 1 another does not lag on your screen it is not a fun experience.
Perhaps kicking players that have too much ping/latency would be better rather than trying to reconnect or keeping the players in the match.

6 RespuestasHonestly my friends and I notice that the lag issue is the worst when PS players are matching against XBOX players. There seems to be a big issue when connecting the two platforms.
-
In freelance there are almost always 1-2 players teleporting around. It can be pretty frustrating to instantly die without knowing why.
-
So my 0.6kd is because I’m the only one not lagging? Phew. For a second there I thought it was because I’m actually trash.

1 RespuestaEditado por Kouz_MC: 9/30/2021 5:30:31 AMThe lags comes from Bungie’s 1995 hybrid systems, not the players’ internet.

1 RespuestaI would imagine 9/10 times it's Bungie's garbage servers

Editado por HoodedHooligan: 10/1/2021 6:23:45 AMIron banner is a joke. Holy -blam!- the lag is ridiculous 10 times more when they're staked. Most of my pvp matches aren't even full 6v6 matches anymore. They've driven away players by the droves with the bullshit Stasis and they still can't handle the players that have stuck around. They also need to put 6 stacks against other 6 stacks. And stop throwing people into matches that are going or remov mercy. After coming back pvp is getting more and more jacked up.

2 RespuestasWhile I have been playing I have noticed that I can get off 2 sometime 3 rounds of ace of spades while I’m jumping over a crate or something and no damage indicated and then I get 1 shot. Do you think it’s lag or is there a new anti damage cheat software that will negate the first couple of shots you take??
-
I wouldn't mind too much if the laggy players were bottom of the leaderboard. But no, they teleport all over the place all game and then there they are right at the top, and they are almost impossible to kill.

3 RespuestasEditado por Demon_XXVII: 9/30/2021 3:10:47 AMIt’s currently appalling Ever since cross play - 6vs6 & Iron Banner especially I’ve a 1gb up/down FTTP Cat8 cabled connection Couple of metres from router to console I’m in the UK, no other users, ports forward for priority, 7ms ping (to USA West Coast), no packet loss, negligible jitter/routing And the hit detection (especially against XB opponents) is beyond a joke Wednesday were my first matches in IB this week People one tapping with adept HC’s, one player had an aimbot AoS, Warlocks not taking damage from any source I even got killed within 12 seconds of a match starting, by a rocket (the opponents team mate missed the first gunshot - I wasn’t expecting a rocket to dome me 🥴 - neither did my teammates) That PvP match might just be the last ever!
-
That would be nice, its a bit too laggy sometimes. I saw the game kick someone in IB yesterday! but they weren't lagging... I'm sure their weapon was just malfunctioning as it was the first time I have seen a Full-auto Palindrome...

2 RespuestasWhat do you expect. Honestly.

Nothing worse then shooting people with a whole clip while they teleport right next to you only to punch you dead then frantically crouch spam your dead body…. 🤬 I doubt reports do anything, and it’s worse when they’re in a fireteam.
-
The lag will always be bad when facing fire teams because of p2p connections
-
2 Respuestasdude that sounds like a you problem. i was never in a lobby where 10/12 players are lagging. You ppl are either just straight up lying or your internet is ran by 2 mice in the basement

1 RespuestaI came here looking for this topic, exactly what I am also facing. Everyone on the opponent team is lagging, everyone teleporting around, it gets so annoying. And before someone points out to my internet, it like for everyone in fireteam too

2 RespuestasIt’s surprisingly ironic. It’s cbmm, yet the game STILL has this problem. The truth is, pvp doesn’t attract enough people to make this work correctly. Stacks dominate all of the crucible, and quickly chase new players and average to low tier players out. With the population dwindling each and every day as the season goes on, cbmm has to cut corners and widen the connection perimeters to prevent the players waiting in orbit for an extended period of time (which in some cases, happens anyway). Aka, laggy matches become far more common as more and more skill tiers leave pvp. It ironically becomes a pseudo sbmm, as the higher tiers are what’s left, and the game has to continually widen the connection search perimeters in EVERY lobby, to lessen the wait time. This will eventually be the case in trials. People can be crushed in game only so many times before they consider the playlist is not worth it (and they will eventually get the rolls they want anyway, if they don’t care about adepts. This will not take long either, with the playlist raining down trials engrams, it lessens the grind by a VERY significant amount, meaning they have no reason to continue playing something they hate after). I personally don’t play trials, because I simply don’t have confidence and for health reasons. I doubt I’ll try anytime soon.

1 RespuestaI love facing players that have hangers with tinfoil wrapped around it as their internet provider. 😑

Its Bungie matchmaking. Its suppose to be connection based matchmaking but it connects you with players from around the globe.

2 RespuestasConnection based match making was much better.

A long time ago in the neighborhood of make-believe, there lived a damage referee. This damage referee was supposed to make laggy players continue to take damage when they had a bad connection. But unfortunately this was only make-believe and it was never actually put in the game by Bungie.
-
IB has always been synonymous for the lag experienced. 7yrs of posts and there hasn’t been any truly noticeable consistently game to game. You’re talking to yourself. Accept the game mode for what it truly is. A 4 pinnacle infusion activity that isn’t fun to play.
-
If 10/12 players lag, it's probably you. On a serious note, there's no region filter n this destroys crucible. Distance = high ping. There's also huge issues with crossplay causing even more lag between platforms. Personally the whole game feels delayed since crossplay. Doors open slowly, chests too, fast travel is slow travel, lots of story missions don't work or don't register as completed. Tonnes of older quests are totally broken and can't be completed. It's becoming a joke, just not a funny one

1 RespuestaIb has always and will always be laggy.. Its part of the fun *sigh*
