Long time fan, first time player! I've been playing since the D1 beta and have never gotten to try Trials. So after ready the past couple TWABs, I was excited! I could queue with two other folks and jump in! I wanted that sweet Trails loot! Who doesn't!? So imagine my disappointment when I spend every moment of the day since the 10am west coast reset, playing Trials and walking away with 4 wins and a still unfinished card. I guess even though I know I'm not the best, I kinda hoped I'd be matched against other folks of a similar disposition. Not the case...at all. I've been waffle stomped like a turd in a drain by 3 stacks ALL.DAY.LONG. So, Idk if Bungie cares but I really had hoped to have some fun with this, and I didn't. I hope everyone else's experience was better then mine, but so far it's not looking that way. Sorry guys😬

My guess is you are used to skill based matchmaking, pvp isn't like that anymore, its less about solo and more about teams sort of, my advice would be to find a team or clan and have some friends or something to join you, maybe next week you go flawless, who knows. I don't try for flawless as a solo I go for a few wins maybe three and get a new gun, but thats how I farm it.

1 RespuestaIf you are a solo player, do not expect to go flawless. Just play for the engrams and rank ups. Very few people get lucky and get flawless for going solo. If you really want to go flawless then get yourself a stack. I happen to be really good at pvp so I only really needed one teammate from my clan to coordinate with me, we steamrolled to flawless. Any random we had got carried hard, I hope those randoms we carried got their first lighthouse. The game even had one match where we actually started off as a 2v3 and we still won that game! A random happened to join in the very last round and got rewarded for our win lmao. Anyway my point is, you have to get good, get yourself someone you can trust, coordinate with and do your best to go flawless. Yes this is trials, yes its sweaty, it wouldn’t be an endgame mode otherwise for the more casual players. Its not the end of the world if you get stomped and lose a couple of games back to back. Look at the reasons why you are losing, are you winning the 1v1’s are you dying out of position? Are you an ape always trying to rush into a 1v3? Are you using strong meta weapons? Etc.

Last weekend encouraged players to group up for trials and chill. This weekend encouraged players to sweat stack up and run it.... Again. Like trials used to be. Players wanting separate pools after a single flawless card caused this.
I was excited! I could queue with two other folks and jump in! I wanted that sweet Trails loot! Who doesn't!? So imagine my disappointment
This is a typical experience in this game. You come in hyped and you leave disapponted. It's a videogame, and yet it doesn't feel like one. Substanceless!!! It has been as of late.

2 RespuestasSo this is Trials... What have you done..? It was ok for one week, Now it's just plums !

You're an actual -blam!-.

2 RespuestasWell, tbh, if you’re going in solo expect to be disappointed. The goal of solo queue is to give players a chance to get some loot and to find teammates to play with. Also, Trials is by a MILE at it’s sweatiest when it first launches. I started playing like two hours after reset, and quit when I went like 2-14 or smth like that. But then, like 5-6 hours later, I go in with a solid team and stomp 9 games in a row before finally losing the flawless, and even after being shoved into the Flawless matchmaking I was able to get several solo queue wins. So really, it comes down to when you play. If you’re looking for a lighter experience, DO NOT PLAY AT RESET. Give it like 6 hours at LEAST.

Bungie made stupid changes this week that none of the good players liked because it made their lives harder so they decided to fight the changes. It’s entirely Bungies stupidity. Last week would have been awesome for you.

Well like you said, this is trials

3 RespuestasTrials is a whole different kettle of fish to regular PvP. Theres a lot of nuance and the learning curve is massive.

The solo queue only helps to feed the sweats. Freelance option needed to level the playing field.
