I can agree with that, still doesn't change the fact that YOU NEED go to a raid to get it, or being forced to it if you wanna compete.

They were around for a year and a half before being nerfed, and even longer until they were completely neutered by the rpm changes. If you are seriously going to complain that a "PVE gun" as you call it, is too good after 2 weeks, there is no help for you.

They were just brought back to something halfway reasonable. What neutered them was buffing 600 rpm ARs.....which caused the community to howl in outrage.

This gun usage is at the stars on crucible, funny don't you think, 2 weeks ago this gun didn't exist, not for low drop rate, because nobody used, I'm ok to have the gun shine or buff a little, that's not the case they overbuffed, that's why it's dominant at the crucible.

Because measuring things tends to correct for people's tendency to see things through an emotional...and self-interested---lens. Check the guardian.gg tables I posted. We are STILL in a HC/shotgun meta in a walk away. Even when you consider ALL FR, FR usage doesn't even make the top 5 until you only look at consoles and only look at IB usage. ...and much of THAT was being driven by PVE players trying to get the seasonal exotic quest done. Now that IB is over, I fully expect that blip to drop to the background useage of less than 5% of kills you see everywhere else. This is about NOTHING other than this community's bias against ANYTHING other than hand cannons and shotguns being competitive. On PC....in high level play? Hand cannons account for one in every three kills....shotguns are second....and everything else is a distant, distant third.

No it isn't. https://guardian.gg/2/weapon-stats/1/19/0/2021-08-07/2021-09-07 FUSION RIFLES are the fourth most used weapon in IRON BANNER....and only on console. ...and most of that usage is being made up of people trying to get the seasonal exotic catalyst quest done Being further driven by day-after-day of gunsmith bounties demanding FR kills. So a lot of that usage is being driven by PVE players who are being forced into PVP. All it takes is actually PLAYING a few games of CRucible on console to know you hear a LOT more Lorentz Drivers and Telestos being used than you hear Vex's being used. On Playstation its rare to see more than one or two in any given lobby.

I was looking at DTR. Even so it's still top most used energy weapon in QP across all platforms.

I have the gun did you read my posts? Dude it's not fair, it's silly you guys defending a broken gun just because you guy have it too, don't forget that you can be on the other side of the barrel with another gun. I play mostly crucible, but my friends once in awhile basically force me to play pve, so i go for the friendship and laughs. This gun is broken.

I have the gun...and it is fair. The gun is simply a best-in-slot Auto Rifle. Just like Hard Light was (before it got nerfed). Just like AoS. Just like Chaperone. Just like Crimson. Yet NO ONE talks about these weapons being OP. ...and the only reason HL was called OP was because it was an AR...and its exotic perk was annoying to fight against in PVP, as you could bounce rounds around corners. Its not "silly" to defend it either. VEX WAS RIDICULOUSLY UNDERPOWERED. Last season. Basically being a middle-of the road AR, that could work like a middle-of the-road linear fusion rifle if you got a kill streak going. It had poor range. It had poor stability...and well, we know what linear fusion rifles were like before this season's buff and artifact perks. Which is RIDICULOUS for a raid exotic drop....how hard they are to get...and their traditional role as being one fo the game's most powerful weapons. But given the weapon's troubled history in Destiny 1, it was understandable that Bungie would be cautious. As the weapon functioned like an Black Armory era LMG in the primary slot. There was literally no other weapon in the game that could compete with it. Whole lobbies would rage quit. What it is right now is nothing more than a best-in-slot auto rifle, that gives you 2 or 3 linear fusion rifle shots (a sniper rifle with a charge up time) IF you go on a kill streak and IF you don't stow the weapon (unless you have the catalyst AND its fully active) So to call this weapon "broken" means you need to be prepared to call several other exotic primaries "broken" as well. Ace of Spades. Crimson. Thorn....and Chaperone. But yet....we aren't hearing any calls to nerf these weapons. Because they fit into this communities wish to have a perpetual hand cannon shotgun meta.

The automatic form has the same TTK as a 720. The linear fusion rifle form isn’t really that oppressive, either.

I think the full auto form is great and you can absolutely out-duel someone with lots of other weapons, but I don’t know about the LF form - seems just a little bit too spicy in PvP for something that takes primary ammo. LFs normally take special or heavy ammo, so the fact that it becomes on par with these things after only 2 kills seems a bit much. It’s also very hard to flinch someone off target even with HCR
