The system is screwed I think. It's probably old and decrepit to the point if they do something, they probably break something else.

Legend nightfall never had matchmaking options.... Either use LFG (should be easy since you can use these forum) or get a clan to play with

i remember in d1 when people asked for like just emote of text saying looking for raid, looking for trials etc. the fact that a always online game even shipped without this already in game. its like having a fighting game without a move set listing, shoes without laces!

the "fireteam finder" would be a real alternative to in game lfg /groupfinder, but ita always outdated, has the stupid issue that you can keep a zombie entry alive forever even if the OP has already left the building just by joining and leaving.. also there needs to be a free text search , so i can narrow down my search , and old posts need to wither out sooner. most of the time i arrive either at already full requests , and it shows then as open on the start page or its old outdated zombie posts, that have been relevant 3 hours ago, or its simply nothing availiable for what i need/want.. also its mind boggling that astral alignment has forced matchmaking while shattered realm has nothing .. same with presage , harbinger, prophecy, shattered throne, pit of heresy, lower nightfalls, they all can have optional matchmaking and it would be fine.. just make it that the leader can kick people in the first 5 minutes if they idle kick them , but lock the kick function once they reached rthe final room to avoid kicking before the rewards trolls..

Destiny might be the worlds only online game without ingame LFG. Seriously, this game IS online multiplayer game and has no proper ingame LFG lmao 😂

Its 2021. You have literally everything you need to find a fire team right at your finger tips. Now would adding a built in one be nice? Yea. Is it really needed? No. Not at all. If someones having issues finding a team they literally are not trying at all.

LFG and chat functionality should be included within the game. There’s really no excuse.

Totally agree, I've made posts about this throughout the years. We shouldn't have to use a mobile phone app or open a browser to find a group, access vault, or get bounties.

Everyone makes the same lame point every time this comes up. Lfg blah blah blah, which is fine. Try that -blam!- for D1. Some of us still like playing it, and after Sony removed Communities it got even harder to find people.

It's not needed.... there are LFG's already available to use. The very platform that you're using right now has an LFG built in. The console I play on has LFG built in for every available game. Given the already available options this isnt even a QOL change at this point.

While I don't disagree that having an LFG thing in game would be nice, much of your post is not true. Nightfalls have matchmaking for the first 2 difficulties, adept/heroic. Legend and above do not have matchmaking. This has always been the case since Nightfalls were introduced, matchmaking was not removed. Bungie has not made extra certain you can't make friends, that's you not trying to make friends, or not being friendly to those trying to be friends with you. Many of the people in my current clan are people I've done strikes/raids/NFs with. The last person that joined was someone sitting in the tower that just started emoting with us, so we messaged her, partied up and now shes a friend. You can inspect everyone in the tower, send friend requests, invite to fireteam etc. Nothing is stopping you from doing any of those things. Having a browser open is not eating up extra memory. I don't know how much memory you think your browser is using, but it's not killing you computer. I'd bet money that every PC Destiny player already has a browser running in the background anyway for things like youtube or facebook or whatever people use it for, 1 more tab is using little to no extra RAM. 1 tab is not taxing on your pc and will not effect your game performance in any noticeable way. Again, not against the idea of having this in game as a QoL change, but if as a company I had to choose between spending resources creating an in game LFG when there are multiple methods of find LFG's already.. or spending those resources on new content and updates to the game, I choose the later every time. Why try to recreate something that already works very well and potentially break 50 different things along the way, or have a buggy implementation causing more headaches for the players and devs.

By this time, you should see that bungie is unable to do that. Its too hard for them probly. Same goes with items management where some random group of guys made amazing work via DIM and than bungie copied their API to make d2 mobile app :D So yea, u have to use discord which IS NOT managed by bungie and loot for ppl there or use web lfg... On the other hand, on discord u have voice com!

Ah yes, it's such a drag to go on an lfg website or even the finding group you have on xbox

I've wanted exactly that ever since D1. That being said if you can come onto this app and make a thread about it you could also use the Fireteam Finder on here. Picking up your phone and prodding the screen is hardly a hardship now is it 😁
