Bungie, the Geomag change is great - keeps the super relevant as a DPS option and closes the gap on super generation in pvp.
Here's the thing: its minor, but I enjoy the electrified footsteps effect seen when topping off is happening. Seems like if we're not doing that any longer, no more effect. Can we make this an always-active effect, or active when super is charged like with Promethium Spurs?
Its a unique thing, worth saving.
Edit: This post is about saving a visual effect on shoes. If you wanna talk balance and class changes, go to another post.

16 RespuestasWhat the F is Bungo's deal with all the Warlock nerfing. We have all the power of dead baby koala's and getting weaker with each update!!! Lets face it in the Epilogue cut scene we see a tremendous Warlock LIE!!! If Ikora actually let loose that NB in actual game play it would have missed everything as it swerved and hit some wall far to the left of hew target doing a total of 0 damage! And she never would have gained her energy back that fast. So either Bungo is totally delusional when it comes to Warlocks OR we are all still stuck in a Vex simulation where warlocks are designed to have zero impact on the simulation! I'm betting both are true!

40 RespuestasThey ripped away half of it's exotic effect, and gave no compensation, all for the sake of pvp "balance". Classic Bungie. "Let's -blam!- up this exotic because pvp players don't like it" - sandbox brainletts

As a hunter main. I support this post.

Yeah… good luck.

2 RespuestasThey did that?

2 RespuestasI was hoping they'd change Geomags to increase the effectiveness of Ionic Traces.

Apply it when you have a full super.

1 Respuesta"Edit: This post is about saving a visual effect on shoes. If you wanna talk balance and class changes, go to another post." Well, that worked out now didn't it? lol But yeah, keeping the visual effect would be cool seeing as its a unique thing.

6 RespuestasThis would be ok if they started separating pvp and pve.

The PVP recharge stuff was kinda ridiculous. Literally felt like I am playing MVC 2 against a someone using Magneto/Sentinel/Storm at times.

2 RespuestasI must’ve been too early for my post on this because I got nothing but people arguing with me and saying it’s not a big deal and I was just being a baby. Glad this one got some love, though! Nerf makes me sad. Geomags were fun, especially the topping off effect.

5 RespuestasEditado por Astrosa: 8/12/2021 9:38:23 PMIt’s rip that cool effect is gone but geomags were op for crucible if used right. Chaos reach can be deactivated early to keep super, With geomags you could easily kill people and deactivate getting back around 20-25%. Then geomags fills that last bar. This drastically reduces super charge since your getting close to 50 percent of your super for free. In survival I was getting my super almost every round, especially when getting higher up in survival where rounds last long.
hiding this cause I know people highly disagree, but this nerf really doesn’t hurt pve, just kill afew more ads. Dps is unchanged
I Dont know why they Don't just turn exotics off in crucible rather than take the fun away they would have been better off making geomagnetic produce 4 orbs of power when using it as dps so it then support teamplay in the process

46 RespuestasThanks Bungo, once again you show your disdain for the Warlock. Getting really tired of this bullshit.

Man I only saw that for the first time ever last week and it’s awesome. Be a nice thing to just have while sprinting with the boots

2 RespuestasEditado por Hawpy: 8/13/2021 12:31:33 AMI've come to terms with Geomags being nerfed, what upsets me more is that Promethium Spur will still be terrible. Sure, Solar weapons granting Rift energy while you're in a Rift is a buff, but Solar weapons auto-casting Rift when you have full energy is awful. It removes your ability to control when and where your Rift is placed, assuming you are using a loadout that receives its other effects. If you kill a far-away sniper or flying enemy in VoG, GM Glassway or anything else, it will spawn the Rift in a place where a) you can't even stand in it, and b) you can't receive the effect of regenerating its energy. In more common scenarios, it'll dump the Rift in the middle of a crowd of enemies and you could easily die just trying to make your way over to it. Not only are the Rifts it creates likely to be useless, but it prevents you from using Rift where you actually want to. I like to use Vision of Confluence, which is Solar. If I used it in tandem with these boots, I'd be making Rifts on the other side of the battlefield that benefit no one and only serve to consume my Rift charge. If Titans had an Exotic that did something similar for Barricade, at least it would be somewhat useful because Barricade affects enemies who come into contact with it, Rift just sits there and does nothing.

By far one of the best choices

4 RespuestasI main stasis and void on all classes so this change is trivial. Also they just took the ez mode of that exotic. Let me run oh look a free super Lmfao why?
-
I think anything with an effect or something that has a benefit to it needs nerfed by at least 50%. I’m sick of pve players wanting powerful gear, it messes up pvp in this pvp focused game.
-
8 RespuestasThey need to add something in return for taking something away. Also, Chaos Reach was ALREADY nerfed, but I doubt they're reverting that even now that the main "problem" just got nuked.

Maybe when the super is charged? Although it could be a giveaway to other players, not that it's that big of a disadvantage when we can just look at the top of the screen unless there's multiple chaos reaches. Referring to PvP of course Edit: I apparently could not read the last bit of the post -
12 RespuestasI don't get how you mean this is good for PVE the damage stays the same but you can't top off anymore. Removing the effect all together I think was dumb they could have found a better compromise. Now I'm just in the vaults of this s*** and I'm just going to use a different super.

18 RespuestasEditado por ChaseyCakes: 8/12/2021 6:28:02 PMAlthough a cool effect I'd rather my opponents not know when I have super. Funny thing is now people will just run battle harmony or nezaracs sin now for a faster super.

Yeah, I think it should work like PS
