Seasons 13 and 14 have seemingly brought in a large amount of new and returning players to D2 and I just so happen to be one of them. Having stopped playing the game after beating Forsaken, I returned after seeing and hearing about a lot of the changes made and content added. While it was a bit daunting to come back after so long I loved my time spent with the game and still do for the most part. However, now that I have experienced much of the content on offer to me and learned all the changes, I am at times left almost disappointed and dissatisfied. Some of this is with small inconveniences and issues, others with problems voiced a thousand times, and the rest with my own ideas which I think would make for a better game. Anyways here is some of my thoughts, concerns, and problems as a returning player.
I will start with the change that many have protested since it’s announcement: content vaulting. Now I know many people have learned to accept the unfortunate decision Bungie has made to remove so much content though I think now with the large amount of returning players the decision should be reevaluated. Once I started to grasp just how much content I had missed out on and may never get to experience myself I truthfully was left unmotivated to continue playing at times. While my decision to stop playing D2 was my own, I don’t think I or anyone else should be punished for stepping back and playing other games. I mean D2 is easy to get burnt out on. All the story lines, quests, activities, loot, and locations that many did not get to experience for themselves are seemingly gone forever. As I said before, I realize it was my own decision to step back, but it is as if every time I ask someone how they got a certain item or every time I look into the collections I am being punished for not committing all my time to D2. Bungie has stated their reasons for why they have begun to vault content though I personally do not think they are good enough to justify the removal of so much content many players have paid for. Also I think it is worth noting that the removal of content has hurt some areas of the game such as PvP. I do not think I am the only new/returning player who feels this way and I don’t think many players who stuck around would mind seeing the vaulted content return instead of more content removed.
Next up is more of a suggestion, but one that I have seen floating around a bit recently. It is that I believe Bungie should adopt Halo’s battle pass system. For those unaware, in Halo MCC one could choose to level up a previous season’s battle pass and play the game on their own time without fear of missing out. Now this is something I believe all games should do because I am personally sick and tired of having to dedicate all my time to one game just for the sake completing its battle pass or whatever they may choose to call it. It too is a reason why it took me so long to return to D2 as I was stuck grinding out all of Modern Warfare’s battle passes instead of playing other games. If Bungie choose to do this it would probably even make them some money with the amount of new/returning players that would like to go back and gain content they missed out on. If they were to unvault content too this would certainly aid in rolling it back out as some of it was tied to the seasonal model. An additional bonus is that it would be unfair to no one as players would still have to buy the pass and then earn its content.
Just recently I realized something small which I will only quickly address right here and then move on, but it is that the collections are incomplete. Now this is a very small gripe of mine, but I think many would appreciate if the collections actually included and shown everything there is or was in the game. Off the top of my head I know that many cosmetic items and old armor are excluded from the collections and I much rather see that I don’t have those item then to see it not in the collections at all. Same could be said for old triumphs too. I don’t know. It sounds silly, but that is just me.
I could go on with listing some other issues and thoughts of mine, but the ones above are the most recent ones which have been bothering me. Anyways I would love to hear other people’s thoughts about what I had to say and suggest and hope that some where down the road Bungie at least looks into some of it.

Editado por Refrigerator Jax: 7/1/2021 9:42:45 PMA returning player..... Dont even think about spending any money on the game. Just don't... it may be tempting... but please.... dont. Walk away.

I'd be fine with old passes being available if you buy the season it was in. But not for free though. Also...they have said multiple times...content vaulting is a thing because litterally no one played it...and the planets got removed because they needed to update their code.

4 RespuestasEditado por DarkMoonWolf666: 6/30/2021 9:39:20 AMThe vaulted stuff are gone ....deal with it Same with sunset weapon...there won't get unsunset maybe new roll will appear some days...but those stuck at 1100 light....they are just memento Oh and the halo bp thing...there's already plenty of topic on it....and probably won't happen because people's don't want the ability to buy old pass...they want it For free...and idk how long it took to maxed out a season in halo but in D2 you have 3 months and gained exp super easily and it's not only from PvP matches

2 RespuestasI think this is more a subject new amd old players will disagree on more. Season of arrivals was the first time I went to uo regularly since d2 launched, it was almost completely baron of anything meaningful bar the whisper mission and the same kinda goes for other places. Majorly unused content taking up space, just makes sense to do spring cleaning
