Crucible is not fun.
Crucible is not fun. The minute a match goes south, people quit with no real consequence. Your matchmaking then does not back fill the spot, guaranteeing a loss. Your matchmaking does not bring in equal connections despite allegedly prioritizing this. Your skill based matchmaking is dysfunctional and doesn’t work. Your meta is focused on weapons that insta-kill. You sunset weapons last year because you were worried about power creep, but then buffed 120 hand cannons to the point where many can 2tap in .5 seconds. Your special weapons so outclass your primary weapons that if you aren’t running around with your sniper or shotgun out, you can’t compete.
Why I keep playing crucible is beyond me. Maybe I am a glutton for punishment, or maybe I really want to see it work out and be fun. I really enjoy a solid pvp game, but I have played across many D2 metas and the same problems still exist. I can safely say I am done with crucible unless absolutely mandatory for a quest. The contrast in enjoyment between raiding and running GMs, and playing crucible, is the equivalent of black and white. What’s worse is the tremendous amount of time that goes into balancing the game type every year, only to end up back in the same position. Time that could be going to building even better PvE content.
Bungie, how long are you going to continue trying to fix an ever worsening game type? Its fallacious thinking to keep putting energy into something broken just because you have already put so much energy into it. Do you really need to sustain a player base in a game type built on toxicity and poor design just to keep the lights on?

13 RespuestasBungie has their matchmaking down to a science. Just from my recent escapade into PvP yesterday it went as followed. I'd get 2 games where it felt great. The score wasn't drastically different. I could use whatever I wanted and not feel like I was playing like trash. It was fun. Then the third match would hit and none of shit worked. Guns I was using just a minute ago felt like I was shooting into the wind. I'd get instantly spawn rushed and destroyed, usually mercy within 1-2 mins flat. Then the next match would be decent. Some hiccups but it felt tolerable. Then I'd get 1-2 good matches and then get another ass beating. The BEST thing I noticed was the inconsistency between matches. For example, I played one match in which a team of 3 was absolutely Obliterating us. I'm talking at the end of the game their KD were 5.5-7.5 across the board. Then in the next match, same people as I didn't leave the matchmaking, it put that team of 3 on my side and it was like the lights went out. We got destroyed. The people who had been on my team where now on the enemy team and were playing like gods and the gods that I was fighting previously were now essentially lemmings. And this isn't even the first time I've seen something like this happen. I could go from borderline abusing a team to getting absolutely fisted by that same team in the next match. And don't even get me started on "Breaking up teams to find a better match" BS. I love when they break up teams and then put me in a lobby with the exact same people that it just considered "unbalanced" for me to match with or throw you into a game in progress that's about to get a mercy. It's as if Bungie just flips a switch and turns off all your shit when they feel you're doing too well or something. I go from tanking a teams worth of gunfire in my super to being instantly shut down by 1 dude spamming a Handcannon on me. I'm dying from 5-8 feet behind cover from people I literally can't even see on my screen or I'm in a position where there is absolutely 0% they can even see me at all. All the crispy hits I was getting now miss, the lag feels terrible, people don't take any damage and survive things that should've blatantly killed them but instead leave them with a sliver of hp. It's frustrating and stupid to say the least. Whether it be Connection Based, Skill based or whatever Frankenstein concoction they have going on here can I please have some kind of matchmaking where I'm not constantly looking at my screen with a 🤨😟🤯 type of face every 2 seconds.

so you're saying crucible needs fixing but they should stop trying to fix it, ah ha and the 50 (for example) employees that were hired to work on pvp should just be shown the door ? or should they now become interns learning pve or color and landscape design ? don't get me wrong, i have my un-satisfactions with the crucible too but i think you're fallacious (o_O) in saying they should focus their energy on better pve instead. there's a department for each aspect of the game and the reason for that is so they can primarily focus on that particular discipline, or side of things. i think if you're here to vent about the things that annoy you, you're perfectly welcome to do so but think about what you're asking before you post it. Sit on the other side of the glass and read your own complaint as if you were Bungie, if it still makes sense... post it but that's just me

Shoot your blueberry teammates with teleso and let them deliver the payload Bait people with the tractor cannon and boop them to oblivion Frantically run around and make people chase you Using flash grenades and be annoying Do grenade launcher trick shots Freeze people , emote the bowler cap and run away , don't even kill them. Confuse everyone, it really spices up the pvp experience 😅😅😅

PowerCreep was a red herring. How do we know? Because of perks like One for All, Frenzy, ignition code w/ slideshot, FateBringer w 2 damage perks, and even going so far to Bringing back Desperado in a Reskin that’s twice as good as Redrix Claymore ever thought about being. They just wanted to reset the game essentially. Knowing full well it’s players would just regrind for weapons. Even Sprinkling in a little Nostalgia w/ VoG The seasonal model is just the same premise over and over again to them Creating Seals for the Grinders. It’s all just Smoke and Mirrors w/ empty promises like “Renewed PvP Focus” the single biggest dev joke of all time Only to be followed up by GL’s are a “skilled” weapon. Those last two actually came out of the dev teams mouths… It’s all Bullsh!t.

The COD fan boys have taken over Destiny and have turned it into another CoD with a halo skin. Thats why everyone is running around 1 tapping people and shutting down post on the subject of balance, because thats all they did in the other fps they came from and expect every other fps to deliver the exact same gameplay. Halo Infinite is coming out in a few months, rejoice.

1 RespuestaMaybe halo infinite will shake things up , spoke today to a guy who scored 72 kills, all he was doing is sliding and shotty. Just don’t get it ….there’s repetitive but quick play is so easy for top tier players . No challenge what so ever 🤷🏼♂️
