Vault of Glass
So… does the raid have a narrative reason for being playable again?

1 RespuestaMost likely not, that’s why the “Legends” tab was invented. If there were to be a reason, it would probably have something to do with the Vault of Glass being an enigma in time, even by Vex standards.

2 RespuestasThe Vault of Glass itself exists outside of space and time, and has multiple entrances across different realities and timelines. When we enter the Vault, we leave our world and enter a reality where Atheon still lives. Even after completing it, every time we enter we face another Templar, another Atheon, etc. Vault of Glass is the only canonically replayable Raid because it exists across time and space. And with there being an infinite number of realities, there will always be one where the Vault hasn’t been completed yet.

We are returning to challenge Time's Conflux and see if that will end the Endless night would be the most logical answer. It obviously fails and we learn the vex, like trying to bring back the black garden, have a lot of things to teach us.

Actually, it's a way to make it playable for those who didn't played D1. I think is a good thing. If you want to fine some narrative reasons, think that the Vault exist in more than one timeline, therefore, the Vex could just have built it anew in our timeline. Osiris himself explained in a comic that beating the vex here and now does not delete their evolution, it merely delay them. In a future, or in a past, they have already won. But, if we win here and today, we have a chance to preserve our timeline, to alter it beyond their schemes. And it's much more than what we could have had.
