So I realize that GMs aren’t meant to be easy. You’re supposed to come up with a strategy and plan against the encounters, and only get rewarded if you have a solid team. But this week the GM isn’t “skill”, it’s “avoid as much OHK shit as possible”. The tank room is just so stupid. Two yellow bars that fly, arc their shots over cover and OHK, two antibarrier colossus, two tanks - this isn’t a test of skill it’s just ridiculous amounts of enemy spam and you just have to pray to RNGesus that you don’t get one shot while hiding behind a wall. Put simply - this GM sucks.
Edit; wow ok so instead of rebalancing the NF so people aren’t being forced out of bounds now you’ve decided to go ahead and patch the out of bounds to prevent even more people from participating. 500 IQ plays out here from Bungo, gotta love the prioritization of gamebreaking issues.

2 RespuestasYes it sucks, but it sucks because it’s extremely difficult. You need to perfect your build and coordinate with your teammates. What we found to work best is two ursa titans and a chaos reach. Play safe and chain the ursa titans. About 40 mins per run. Aztecross had another more offensive strat that he made a vid on. A lot faster but harder to pull off. And for the boss room, put one on the top left cheese and two on the top right. Make sure you have a skyburners and are NOT using anti barrier scout. That’s for the shields. It’s difficult, but that’s how it’s supposed to be. As frustrating as it is, for me this level of difficulty is what has been missing from pve. I don’t really enjoy pve because to me it’s just to easy. This however, is much different

There is no reason you have to have encounters that require certain characters. What if I want to use another character that doesn't have that gear? Guess what I'm screwed.

It was hands down the least fun I've had in Destiny. The boss room needs a re-design and/or the boss ability spam needs dialed back. I will never willingly do it again.

21 RespuestasAbsolutely. I agree. Even the best players in the world like Fallout Plays and Frost Bolt said it was so hard, they barely completed it 1 single time and that they wouldn't do it again. They only did it with an unintended glitch with Skyburners that allows you to cheese the boss. Without this, they might not have even completed it. This GM is ridiculous. The best players in the world are calling for a nerf on that boss fight. When you have a super team like these guys saying it needs to be nerfed, it needs to be nerfed.

8 RespuestasThis is far and away the hardest ordeal boss we've had in a while - and for all the wrong reasons. It's just a nonstop tidal wave of homing instakill burst damage attacks constantly chasing you with unreliable cover and a parade of champions to deal with. It's pretty much the two worst things in D2 mashed together and cranked up to 11.

My team made it to the boss, now we just have to figure its fight and that be it. The tank room ain't a problem anymore, those rocks randomly bouncing and potentially killing you are more concerning than all that horde at the tank room 😅

When it comes to this grandmaster I understand how fierce the enemies are I understand the amount of enemies the problem is there are a lot of weapons in general nevermind grandmaster that are severely underpowered for PVE. grandmaster should be hard for different reasons not because 99% of the weapons are alike peashooters in comparison. I personally don't think this strike works as a grandmaster

3 RespuestasEsoterik solo'd it with a blue energy scout.. he's up there on his own. Insanely talented. Makes it look sooo easy.. other top tier players struggling in a fireteam & Eso jus obliterated it. Looks painful 😶

It’s very tough I found 1 well with phoenix protocol, Ursa Titan and 1 Chaos Reach quite effective as we kept chaining supers quickly so we focused fire on the centre trash mobs in the centre of the tank room then worked on champions then killed 2 of the interceptors and then gathered ammo for phase 2 the tanks we got up on either balconies keeping eye on the door by tossing a grenade, then focus fire on one the tanks as the AOE damage wrecks you then we focused on the champions and named majors before lastly finishing off the last farest tank The boss room is by far most challenging area.

I enjoyed it, took me a bit but got two palindromes. One has killing wind/rangefinder with the master work of range. I then slapped on my adept range mod...wow This was sooo much fun and enjoyed the challenge.

1 RespuestaIt's a bit hectic, but with the right teamwork, easily farmable.. Not as hard as Glassway or Scarlet Tower for surrrre. Anyone on PC can DM me if you need help with that, the guys n gals in my clan discord are lovin it, we have a section dedicated to GMs.. It's all in the build and discipline of your team.. Step 1.. Go get that powerful friends mod in the tower, if you haven't already... Step 2... Go get some powerful friends that know whats up... Cheers and Eyes up Gaurdians!!

11 RespuestasWhen designing this strike, they defiantly didnt think about how it would play as a GM. The tank room has too many enemies that swarm you at once, with few good cover spots. Not too mention the shield dome mechanic that forces players to either cheese or rush the boss/miniboss to break the dome so you can continue damage. Also the fact that all 3 elemental shield types are in the strike.

1 RespuestaThe OHK stuff is slow moving and easy to predict, getting to the boss with 0 deaths should be really easy with a decent team. Stop crutching on 'stand still' supers, move around when their big hits come or their floaty boys target you, no penalty for jumping in this one. Solar resist and/or concussive dampener helps survivability. Unfortunately I've only had teams try to cheese the boss and then still die so I can't offer advice on legitimately defeating the boss encounter. I'll hazard a guess of clear the ads before boss damage. Communication will likely be huge here for who is targeted by what and how to get past it
