Don't stress too much about it. There is no skill in this game, because there is no dedicated servers and Bungie allows cheating. Just plaly to have fun, and never care about K/D. Those who do, are either 12 year old little kids ramped up on Ritalin, or unintelligent people, or both.

Connection based matchmaking means usually I'm a pvp god with KD5.0+ or a newbie with a 0.2KD Really frustrating part of pvp

Must be nice to actually be able to play. I got about 3 games in in an hour. The rest of the time was infinite 12/12 loops back to orbit. I’m soo over this shit man.

It’s a combination of killer mentality, bounty mentality, and players who don’t care just because they don’t like being in the crucible for rewards. With killer mentality, people pad their k/d likes it matters most, so they don't capture the control points. While it can be argued that not everyone should be getting objectives, it should be noted that if your allies CAN’T get more then 2 zones, you should probably swallow your pride and try to help with that. You should realize that your Elo win rating on destiny tracker should probably matter as well. For bounty mentality, people just focus on bounty completion and NOT the objectives. They literally don’t care at all about winning. They focus on getting their bounties done (which in iron banner is more incentivized, since the 4 bounties give massive xp gains and pinnacle gear). To put it bluntly bounties typically “distract,” players in the crucible. Then there is the most common one, pve players being forced into pvp just for pinnacle gear (this also goes into the two reasons mentioned above). You all see on the forums how often pve players complain about being forced to play pvp for stuff like exotic quests, pinnacle rewards, good loot, etc. You literally can’t expect ANY of these players to actually TRY to win at all. They don’t want to be there. They hate being in the crucible. Why would they care about winning in a playlist that they hate being in (look at the suicide jumpers in trials for example. How many players I wonder got igneous hammer last week without a single trials kill? Might be something interesting for bungie to look up). Bungie can’t expect to force players into pvp without them not caring at all about the winning. Also, most of the crucible’s current loot is NOT meta in pve as well (trials current rotation has no meta weapons in pve. The only crucible weapon I think that might be excellent in pve is the frozen orbit with appended mag/triple tap/vorpal weapon or high impact reserves. And the chance of getting this combo is so RIDICULOUSLY LOW that most players will not bother, not only because of the MASSIVE perk pool, but also because the drop rates, despit the update, are still EXTREMELY low (that and there are 3 different playlist weapons in rotation, making it EVEN MORE unlikely. Sorry for the long post. This is just my opinion on why people simply do t care about the objectives.

It is not just you. Most of the community knows PVP is a mess. They have created an unhealthy, unbalanced environment. They don’t know what they are doing.

There's a solo playlist. It fixed everything and IB is perfect now

IB along with PVP has been broke for quite sometime. I only do it for the gear and that is starting to get old. It is annoying to put 6-7 rounds into someone and it doesn’t do a thing and you go down by only one.

Just a bring the racing league back and drop this Iron Banner mess already.

Most losing matches I find myself in are due to players simply not playing the objective. Not capping, not protecting, just running around randomly like it's Clash.

Just make it Clash again and the fun will come back.

While we're at it, could we please remove the "An Arsenal Of Tricks" bounty? That one is genuinely frustrating to do.

The game mode of iron banner is why you get mercies so much. Locking out zones in the first 3 minutes results in a mercy about 60% of the time. If they want to change this Bungie needs to change the whole Iron banner game mode formula.
