Im going to start off by saying that i dont play trials. The format isnt fun. Its full of people using the most cheesey low skill loadouts. Plus i play solo most of the time and will never lfg into that.
....
With the constant game breaking exploits, broken abilities and map glitches cancelling trials.
I personally think its about time that trials gets permanently ended. Then replaced by something that is actually accessable to more of the playerbase from the start.

1 RespuestaI don't play Trials, but I think it should be removed. The logic is flawless.

7 RespuestasEditado por Burnt-Lead: 3/14/2021 10:08:04 AMJust been sent a screenshot of the Tweet from Trials Report Since trials is cancelled, we don't see any harm in releasing this anymore. So far this weekend: PC: 32,500 Lighthouse visitors - 10,465 without a kill (32%) Xbox: 4293 Lighthouse visitors - 1471 without a kill (39%) Playstation: 7296 Lighthouse visitors - 2741 without a kill (35%) Stadia: 621 Lighthouse visitors - 323 without a kill (54%) This is a truly broken format. It's time to call it a day

Cancel culture at it's finest. While Trials has major issues, it's probably not in need of being removed completely. Just remove the loot and make it an emblem only reward each season. That way sweats will still have something to shoot for that doesn't effect the game at large. It should be a highly optional nothing burger.

8 RespuestasThe downside to Trials getting canceled is that all those weekend sweaties and try hards (i.e. Gilded Unbrokens) are now "Ree-ing" it up in Rumble and Control and just curb stomping teams. I'm trying to find a loadout that works for my playstyle in Crucible cause I'm just awful with HC's but, I just can't compete against the meta and skill level that these other players have. I still play Crucible often but damn, I'm feeling like I'm leaning more towards only playing PvP for the pinnacle and then bouncing to keep my sanity.

1 RespuestaI agree with this. Get rid of trials. We don't have a true need for it anyway. Just full of people who cheat, sweat for nothing but vanity, and those that get paid to carry for unicorn prizes.

PvP should have been removed a long time ago.

6 RespuestasIf you dont like trials dont play it, there are people who like it and like its guns, Stop trying to push your views onto those who enjoy the mode, if you dont like it dont do it

All PvP is a joke until they put out dedicated servers.

2 RespuestasI saw someone in this thread say "oh man up nothing in life should easy" or something along those lines. My question to that person/entity is that - So you play video games to experience life 2.0 or do you want to get away from it to experience a fantasy? Just an honest question.
-
It needs a genuine rework to entice more players into the pool each weekend but it definitely needs to stay. In my opinion it's the best part of the game when it actually functions properly. It's exciting and challenging and if you get lucky rewarding...at least it used to be. As the player base dwindles so does the enjoyment.

I hate Trials as well, "The sooner Trials dies the better". But if it was hand cannon for 3 wins, i'd be jumping.

1 RespuestaBiggest problem with this mode is how the rewards work. It creates a very unplayable unfun mode. It should work like this..... Once you go flawless and get the adept that’s it for the week, you can’t get adept or even trials rewards any more for the week so if you get crappy rolls to bad. But to balance this have multiple adepts drop once you open the chest at the lighthouse. This would instantly stop everyone from win trading or doing 80 flawless runs constantly screwing over everyone else in the process. You can still keep getting more cards and getting 7 wins but there would be no point to do so after the first time cuz you rewards would be crap. Not even trials rewards any more, just random legendaries from the world loot pool. Basically the only point would be just to finish bounties and get tokens. Once you get a card you have to finish all 7 matches even if you lose. No more resetting them over and over and over if you lose 1 match. Make it so tokens don’t go away and add in more bounties and make it so your main source to get loot is from the tokens and the bounties. The only way to get adept would be to go flawless but everything else would mostly be from tokens and bounties. Change the armor to ornaments instead. Add free lance and matchmaking. There I just fixed trials. Sure lots of the sweats and cheaters and no lifers would not like this because they couldn’t endlessly farm for god rolls any more but o well. They represent the smallest part of the player base so who cares if they get mad.

Trials will never be good. As long as Bungie continues to hide the better weapons in these ridiculous modes which are only accessible to sweats, it will crap the bed every time. It’s been six years folks and Trials has always failed. Hey Bungie, you know what the definition of Insanity is? Look it up!!! Embarrassing.
-
I do feel sorry for those who like it (insane I know, but some people do), like my son who got to 4 wins before it was taken offline.
-
Because here I’m Destiny 2, cheaters always prosper.

No. Dont like it dont play it

14 RespuestasEditado por Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 3/14/2021 9:29:28 PMIt’s the loot that is the problem. Whether Bungie wants to admit it or not, activity exclusive loot is why people cheat and find and use exploits. Trials is hyper competitive, but it’s the only way to get certain loot, and so people WILL find a way to get it without having to be that competitive because again, whether Bungie or anyone else wants to admit it or not, not everyone is that competitive. I’d argue that most players are not that competitive. This thing where they make activities with loot that very few people play is not the best model. This gear should be accessible elsewhere in a way that balances the time to acquisition against the challenge of the activity. Instead as it is now, people either cheat/cheese or they just opt out of playing altogether. This is not a particularly reasonable or healthy expectation of your players. This is not a healthy game model. It’s one that splinters fans into groups. Destiny has about the least cohesive fan base I’ve ever encountered. This is the part where all the tryhards show that they are actually cryhards with their “git gud” and “iF yOU WAnt tHe ThINg plAY ThE aCTiviTY” comments that suggests that their enjoyment of the game is based on what other players have and how they get it(which is sad), for which I will not be responding and which will also show me who to block. 🙂 Edit: I’m surprised that only one person so far has wasted their digital breath.
Its full of people using the most cheesey low skill loadouts.
So you'd rather have them in regular crucible? Just gotten back into playing again and the amount of freezing and hancannons killing me at incredible ranges (looking at you, you damn Trials handcannon)... I don't play Trials in D2 myself, and I don't care much for it or what happens to it, but some seems to enjoy it so let them?
