Completing a flawless trials card should put you into a different matchmaking pool.
Seriously, there’s nothing worse than finally getting the chance to log on and play trials on a Sunday and can’t get to the 3 win milestone because everyone you’re up against are players whom have already gone flawless. They got the red glow and the new adapt weapons shinning bright as they run over players just trying to dip a toe and get into the game mode. And Baggin’ like they’ve actual came up on a W in a sweaty game - rather than slapping around players that are still lower/mid tier skill level. There’s no reason players whom have already gone flawless for the current weekend to be allowed to just bound on the players in the 1-3 game levels. All I see on LFG posts after Friday is players looking for groups to bound on lower level players and prevent them from getting loot.
Do you want anyone besides trials elites to play the game mode? Because your just fanning the flames of bullying mentality with trials set the way it is.
Aside from giving some of us shlubs a shot at seeing a 5 win card,
It would also pit the best of the best against each other for all additional flawless runs. Actually incentivizing a fair competitive game mode.

After 5 hours if IB yesterday I broke down repeating "I'm tired of the meta" for a solid 10 minutes before I decided to finish the quest and never touch the damn gamemode for the rest of the season. I mean the only high stat armor I got was worthless since it had the wrong stats so I did all that for 2 new weapons and only one has a decent roll that I go from tokens. Crucible is a disaster. I only play for the pinnacle each week, IB once ever season for the quest and trials with buddies to get the new weapons whenever they are on 3 wins, cause I tried to get 5 wins for the sword and we couldn't even get past ONE win, not even kidding. And even then I'll probably never get a god rolled Igneous Hammer or Messenger cause the brutal RNG is kicking me while I'm already down from the terrible meta and matchmaking.

The problem with trials is its basically no fun for anyone with sub 1.5 kdr. Lfg is a nightmare, takes ages to find a team, and then you end up losing every game and not even getting 3 wins. So like 2 hours wasted for nothing.

6 RespuestasNope. Flawless players should not be able to play after they go flawless. Saying three flawless times is to much and leaves room for those players to not finish and just reset there card. One time per weekend fixes the true problem with trials.

2 RespuestasLower the wins needed. 7 is too much and was designed for a high player pool. Maybe have a 5 win card that we can get by maybe using bright dust or doing a small quest to obtain it each weekend.

Wish we had a system like warzone with the bronze,silver,gold,platinum rankings but not everyone is gonna like that.

Hopefully the future fixes will make a difference. Until then I would steer clear. Or continue to be frustrated...

Those type of player are the ones who hate playing people with similar skill. They always want to stomp opponents. This happens in any competitive mode in any game. Once a developer switches to sbmm, the tears start flowing

Actually not a bad idea... if more people start playing trials... but until they can get more people interested it would be hard to implement

It would be easier to go flawless the longer you wait during the weekend and would incentivize players to wait until the last minute to go for flawless - and you would have a bunch of players going after it the last 24 hours. Even good players. 2. If we ignore above point and assume it actually works - it would eventually mean that there is one team of 3 players left in the "non-flawless" pool that didn't go flawless, because they lost game #7 vs the second last team. Who will they match after that? (and this problem would arise a lot earlier than that - as the player pool shrinks you would face the same teams over and over again) And personally, I don't even think trials should be made easier as in sorting out the better players - it's better if they find ways to motiviate the lesser players to participate and try - if there are more average/lesser players in the pool the chances of succeeding increases for everyone. The bounty that rewards gear was a good try but it wasn't enough - it just resulted in many teams just throwing the games by jumping off the map 10 games in a row. Several bounties with different objectives that all reward gear. It could be kills, winning rounds etc (something that forces you to actually play the game mode to it's full) - even if you're bad in PVP you will get kills and win an occasional round. (and the more "lesser" players going for this, the easier it becomes for evyrone once again)

With better rewards? A ranked mode should have progressive rewards as you go up the ranks. Otherwise, you are effectively punishing skill.

Trials isn't for Low/mid skilled players.

AM I SAYING SOMETHING SHOULDN’T BE DONE ABOUT TRIALS, no. As a person who has no trouble going flawless every week I can agree something needs to happen with Trials. BUT, I can promise promise promise, this isn’t it....

I totally agree!! I think they also need to allow only one adept weapon with a random roll to drop when you go flawless that weekend...per account or you could per character. I think more incentive to play every weekend to get a different roll...its just ridiculous to see streamers do adept roll revealing 10 adept weapons when alot of players cant even get one...legitimately

2 RespuestasIf you do this, you make doing a confidence card virtually impossible. So there would have to be some sort of change to that. But I agree. Character based, once a character goes flawless in a specific weekend they only match other flawless players for that specific weekend. Good players get 3 adept weapons / mods, then a lot harder challenge if they want to grind out more, and you also eliminate the 1 win reset kids late in the weekend

3 RespuestasRecoveries and cheating are a far bigger problem tbh, not that you don't make a good point, but the game is a sh1t show at the moment when it comes to PvP. I'm no sweat or PvP master, I'm too old and too slow now to compete, but even in vanilla and trials of the nine, I would dip my toe in and at least get some where eventually, but now I wouldn't even entertain the notion of trials, regardless of how good the rewards are. What's worse is Bungie haven't even got the common decency to be embarrassed about it, not even close.

I agree with this, one problem I see is that everyone on your fire team can't have any wins that week, because if say one player has gone flawless, then that should put them up against other flawless player gating the other members of your fire team. Or could be the other way around where you have one person. Who has gone flawless is now being matched with those that haven't gone flawless. Something does need to change. For all the sweats that don't like it. They wouldn't have so many wins if they weren't farming lower skilled players so you know they will cry, because they would actually have to play more difficult teams.

1 RespuestaI agree with this to some extent, the big issue for me is flawless players being unable to farm the adept weapons, they're already so unforgiving, and putting them into a harder matchmaking pool would make it worse. They'd need to do something about that, but otherwise, I'm fine with people getting put in their own matchmaking pool once they've gone flawless that week, as are most of my clanmates who consistently go flawless, they dont wanna have those weeks where it sucks like last week did either.
