Removing A Holiday Cause You Can’t Make It Better?
I had fun every year doing it with my dad. I looked forward to it every year. Now it’s gone.
You couldn’t “improve” the playlist. Make something new. So you panic and put it into the DCV. That’s one of the saddest / lamest things I’ve seen since this Sunset / DCV move.
All you had to do was make 1 new weapon 7-10 new Eververse cosmetics and maybe 1 new fast easy quest and everyone would be happy. But vaulting it was easier I suppose.
What a shame.

4 RespuestasThey might as well remove Festival of the Lost, Dawning, and Moments of Triumph. Because if Crimson Days is being removed because Bungie can't think of anything new to do with it, that's true for all these events.

Just like when they removed trials and said they were making it better only to have it brought back exactly the same. Another idiot, stupid move on the part of bungie that truly hurt this game. I am tired of bungie and all their excuses why they can't do something. Put up bungie or sell to someone that will. Bungie is a disgrace.

I think with the current state of PvP they didn’t want to feed the hate train even more. I totally agree with your view and always thought these events did more for the game world then most of the seasonal activities we have had.

I was always more excited for Crimson days more then festival of the lost and other lame holiday events. Crimson doubles was always more then eververse items, the crucible mode was fun. It’s a shame to see it go...

I feel like I wrote this post in another timeline. I also played the hell out of this with my dad. Once I got him either dodging or throwing up barricades we would win most matches. They have no problems making EV stuff. 1 new weapon has been the norm. People are playing less as it is. So why remove it now? I think it would be fun just to hear what goes on on 1 big decision making meeting

Yes it’s ice powers get over it already. They couldn’t just call it ice so what did they call it stasis. What is stasis. Suspended frozen animation. Look it up. Most of the descriptions to the subclass say freeze your enemies or make frozen whatever. Now imagine playing with your friend in crimson days where you stay by your mate your abilities charge twice as fast. Or have y’all forgotten about constant skip nades or swarm nades. Not to mention double barriers or constant healing and empowering rifts. Not to mention the builds that do many of you do to reduce as much cool down as possible to have an edge. That’s why they are probably doing away with it because unless you play with a broken subclass you will be out played every time. But that’s my speculation on it. I remember constantly tossing suppressing nades at the enemy to make it where they cant use there abilities or placing tripmine nades on the heavy with the young ahmakara spine to make them tougher to destroy so they focused on getting the mines and didn’t check there back. It was fun till lunas howl or something made it less fun at that point in time. What made it worse was when the weapon system was reverted back to destiny 1 so the game was less fun and is in a horrible state.

Still say it's because of how close it would land to the start of a new season. Saying it because of quality is likely PR speech to avoid saying the delay -blam!-ed the timing of everything. The seasons seem like they try to balance when things happen if they can, season activities, content related to the dlc, iron banner, grand master nightfalls, basically if you play all aspects of the game each week should offer something. Because of the delay to the dlc, next season would have been too front loaded.

They've just given up, because making Content is hard. Density doesn't "Matter" anymore, except as a cash cow. If it wasn't for MS adding Density to Game Pass, they'd have zero revenue at all.
