Editado por Dubufu: 1/16/2021 5:45:26 AM
Cause it doesn’t need a nerf, dude. I don’t care enough to be mad. I’m a little peeved, but you don’t see any hunters crying now do you?
It did. You don't see hunters crying because most of them knew how broken it was. It was pretty universally known in pvp communities that it was too strong.
When warlocks get a nerf for a perfectly good reason, they cry and whine and complain until bungie gives them back their ability to nearly its full extent. When has that ever happened with hunters?
That has rarely happened. While you are correct that warlocks are nerfed for good reasons, the only example of them getting their abilities back to their full extent is Shadebinder. And even then, most of the changes were not reverted. Hunters don't need those changes because their kits are strong enough as it is. Hunters have the strongest neutral game of any class, which is routinely improved with passive exotics like Stompeez.
When have you ever seen them go back on a hunter nerf? Remember wormhusk? Everyone complained about it till it was nerfed into the ground, then they give titans a helmet that heals you fully and gives you an over shield and deals bonus’s damage to opponents that kill or damage you
This argument would work if OEM wasn't nerfed...but it was. Not only is Wormhusk still strong and competitively viable, but so is OEM after the nerf. Also, OEM no longer grants bonus damage.
Even after its multiple nerfs, OEM is still the best exotic armor piece in the game. Hunters have had to adapt over and over again, as they are ran into the ground with nerfs.
Because they have routinely been strong and still are
We were brought into D2 nerfed. We have the best class ability, and that’s it. The easiest jump to control? Ok sure, but it’s still not the best jump. You can’t go far with it, it’s a pain to traverse the world with it, even with stompies. I’ve played as a titan with lion ramparts, and WHHHOOOOOSH, there I go faster than you can say “Eververse”. Hunters, a class based on mobility are the slowest class in the game, with the least highest jump.
Lion ramparts are not competitively viable and do not improve speed. They just keep you in the air for longer than you need. Hunters have passive abilities tied to their subclasses that improve mobility, tied with exotics like stompeez (which has been a pvp favorite since...forever) it makes for the best air control in the game and far slide distance on top of that.
We have zero one shot melees, unless you can be lucky enough to land a headshot with a knife that takes two seconds just to load. Titans? Run towards your enemy and poof, you’re dead.
That's if your enemy is braindead. Shoulder charge titan subclasses are rarely used in pvp and nowadays are horrible for competitive viability. This is why things like ballistic slam are actually preferred over shoulder charge abilities, and the opposing subclasses are far more powerful. For example: Nobody runs top tree striker. It's horrible. Super does not last long and the shoulder charge is a gimmick. Everybody chooses bottom tree striker for stronger abilities and synergy that dies in with their melee. Frontal assault is for more useful for damage bonuses on top of an extended melee range as a passive.
We have zero one shot or even very high damage grenades. Titans? Throw down a pulse grenade or suppressor grenade and you’re dead in less than a second.
Those are not one-shot grenades...
Pop spectral, immediately get shotgunned in the face
Spectral blades can survive two shotgun pumps.
Pop Golden Gun, ah well, you have no health, sniped in the head, boom, dead.
A sacrifice for having a super that can 1-shot any guardian to the body with superior hit detection, and with the capability of killing supers in 2 shots if used correctly.
Trying to take out a sun breaker, is like trying to kill and ogre with a nerf gun.
Didn't you said that golden gun gets sniped to the head? You can do the same with any super really, sunbreaker included.
"Can hunters finally have blink back?” “Sure, here’s a ground use only blink with a cool down of 21 seconds that’s easy to track.”
And look, it's still one of the stronger pvp exotics.
Yeah. Hunters are not the top tier class.
They have always been.

Thank you for being honest and understanding what balance is

Have you ever played as a hunter?
-
No. But I routinely play with people that do, and I understand the meta and mechanics of the game as I have been playing pvp since year 1. Every clan and every community ive been a part of knows how strong hunters are, even if they are hunters themselves.
-
Fair enough. All I’m saying is, I suck as a hunter and want an easy to use ability.
