Exactly what the title says. You're shooting an overload, you stagger him, you hit him with your stasis super.... His health fills up almost instantly..... Come on now... The stasis grenade staggers him but the super doesn't?
Quite the oversight IMHO
-
Similarly, barrier champions should not put up barrier while being shot with anti-barrier rounds.
-
Idk bud, with lament they kinda just vanish. Stunning? Take this meaty damage to the chest
-
4 RespuestasOverload champions shouldn't heal when being shot. Seriously ran out of heavy and my overload autorfile did so little damage the champion healed while being shot while waiting to become stagger able again. It's broken.
-
No because the mod says grenades.......
-
1 RespuestaUse a sword put mod on sword ammo and your good to go. Swipe away.
-
The best way honest to God is just kill all the adds around it then spam sword light attacks. Works 100% of the time for me and got necrotic grips last night in just 4 runs. If you time it right, they don't even get their overload shield up before they die.
-
who uses a stasis super on a champion? ewww
-
Why would you waste a super on him with a stasis grenade? Sword him to death
-
4 RespuestasLament says screw their health regen.

9 RespuestasI just hate how the implementation of champions forces you to play how they want you to play.
-
1 RespuestaYeah... I really hate the fact that Bungie’s answer to game difficulty is that a lot of the enemies can spam abilities without any cool down, or spam abilities at times when they shouldn’t be able to. There comes a point where the game no longer feels fair.
-
The best part is that bungie said he they fixed that
-
Why do you waste a super on a champion? You want burst damage, that's the entire point of their mechanic.
-
Anti barrier servitor and overload captain became best friends
-
It's not an oversight, the mod specifically says Stasis and Solar grenades. When we get a mod that overloads on supers, then you can overload with supers
-
2 RespuestasYour super does not have an overload mod smart guy.

My go-to lately has been pulse/scout/truth. Hit the champion with a stasis grenade stunning them, take a few shots with the scout or the pulse rifle, then very quickly finish them off with Truth rockets, since you don’t have to reload for 3 shots. This combo has been working very well for me, as other techniques were too inconsistent. I tried using the swords, but it just wasn’t working for me, plus I prefer to keep distance between myself and the boss. Hope this helps.

I just think the auto rifle is broken against Overload champions. I tried both scout rifle and auto, scout consistently staggered the champion more frequently. It almost seems like a very very poor RNG on when the auto rifle loads it's shot, and even then it's like just ONE bullet, if the champion is phasing as your doing damage, forget about it. At least with scout rifle I know when the round is loaded and can better time my shot. Someone at bungie really didn't think the perk through...at all

3 RespuestasPersonally, it's annoying how they spam champions, meaning using them way too much throughout the game. This company needs an overhaul to find new devs that have that creative to be able to come up with new things. The copy and paste work with this company has gotten out of control.
-
It’s not really an oversight, you can just use the grenade while you’re in super mode to keep them staggered unlimitedly. On hunter, it’s not so simple, but it’s technically even easier to keep them staggered. The real problem is that during certain modes of aggression, they simply won’t disrupt until you’ve died or 5 full seconds have passed (no actual testing on that timer, but my rage-guesstimate clocked it in at a full minute, which is an obvious exaggeration). So it is either an intended “rage mode” that makes them impossible to disrupt, for some good old fashioned gaming moments, or a glitch that happens commonly during their rush down. Tl:dr — Florida Champion literally too angry to die disrupts disruption mechanic, striking strikers who strike strikes at night.

Overloads are fine. Do you want bungie to replace them with dregs cause it’s too hard for you?
-
Champions are so easy
-
5 RespuestasChampions just need to be sunset.
-
2 RespuestasSounds about right. Overload Champions are the glitchiest mobs in this game
-
Champions wouldn't be so bad if they weren't bugged. I love hearing the sound que and seeing the text all saying that I stunned a champion just for them to keep spamming abilities and guns as if they stun never happened.
-
Stasis grenades that freeze like duskfield do what I call a double stun. They cancel out the first stun and basically allow them to regain health if frozen.
