We had a Community Manager in Deej who stopped engaging with Bungie's official forum at some point in year 3 of Destiny 1!!! Personally I found that unacceptable. It should be in the Community team's job descriptions that they are required to engage with the community on the company's official forum. If they are met with nothing but toxicity then Bungie should apply the Code of Conduct more strictly, or tighten up the rules Hiding from your own Forum is ridiculous...
-
All that happens when they reply here, is an invasive army of attacks against the messenger. Why bother?
-
They will if someone ever posts something useful or relevant...
-
Because these forums are so toxic and unreliable in its feedback that its hard to tell anymore if players are complaining because they feel like Bungie did something wrong, because something randomly broke, because they want Bungie to make something they like be broken and OP, because they want Bungie to make something they don’t like be weak and useless, basically some class war bs, or simply because they just want to **** off as many people as possible. Usually a combination of everything. Add on to the fact that Bungie tends to gravitate towards and respond to those that give lighter feedbacks(since surprise surprise those are easier to respond to in the way they want), then it’s not surprising that they don’t respond to these post as often as you want.

21 RespuestasEditado por Seth, Knower of Things: 10/30/2020 11:11:05 PMDead forum. Games got 8-900k players but I haven’t seen a post get over 1000 likes in years. Occasionally they’ll respond on reddit after twabs drop or right before it. They mainly reply on Twitter as they can just block the unnecessary hate. not valid criticism mind you, just the people telling them “how evil they are” and other toxic nonsense.

12 RespuestasThe forum posts have been pretty stupid lately.

Editado por Space: 10/31/2020 2:56:49 PMProbably because forums are a very vocal minority of a minority. I rarely see posts get above 500 votes here while r/dtg can easily reach that with like 10 posts in a day and some posts can get 10s of thousands of upvotes depending on the topic and/or setting. Another thing to consider here is that the Forums has been plagued with trolls and copy-pasting users and those type of people add nothing but toxicity or dissent. These people are occasionally met with a temp ban but that only increases their resolve to troll and/or copy paste. Meanwhile, r/dtg handles trolls with downvotes and sub bans. Do I think r/dtg is perfect? No, it has its own problems and I do think the mods tend to be biased. However that sub/forum is a lot better than here. Edit: Forgot to mention that typically Forums trolls are here because they got banned on the r/dtg subreddit.

19 RespuestasBecause the posts that are worth responding to are on reddit and not here.

Would you? If your information and position stated you couldn't share anything but had to basically deescalate the tension every single time because the feedback category is ripe with arm-chair devs that act like they know better than the people literally making the game? Their and our time is better spent elsewhere.
-
They do. Just not on here, because there is no constructive feedback on this forum.
-
they never really have

3 Respuestasmaking words is hard.

1 RespuestaBefore there was some "I will give that feedback to the team." Now this forum is deserted.
-
1 RespuestaBecause they don't care. They will make their game how they want it, not how the player base does.
-
Because they are too GREEDY to pay someone doing it.
-
2 RespuestasYou think you are.In fact, Bungie is responding on the forum.
-
Even in the Halo days they seldom said anything. You have to check twitter or reddit now. There was likely a meeting that took place at some point where data showed that they reach more people there for whatever reason.
-
They never really did. They're only on twitter.
-
as others have said, it is pretty toxic, and I understand the basic concept that with such a large player base, it's hard not to piss someone off. But I still think the Dev team are a bunch of self-righteous, pretentious arse-hats
-
4 RespuestasThey'll say it's because of the virus, but I say it's because communication is one way now. What I'd like to know is why do they have more activity/ responses on sites like Twitter and Reddit than THEIR OWN WEBSITE THAT EXISTS ALMOST SPECIFICALLY FOR THEIR GAME?
-
6 RespuestasThis place operates more like a clan discord with power-tripping mods than the official forum of the game. Is there any other game community out there where the leaders not only actively avoid engagement with the community, but don't even play the game either?
-
There's no money in it for them.
-
Editado por Double07: 10/31/2020 2:36:06 PMReddit has all the non Destiny players who gatekeep feedback. They don’t even have to play the actual game for 2 hours to post or interact in topics. All they do is just downvote meaningful suggestions, and upvote joke suggestions, while tampering in polls. Quite sad, 1000 active alts can indeed make a subreddit seem “alive.” Bungie.net has fewer active users, sure, but at least we can actually confirm they played the game for at least more than 2 hours.
-
Editado por Doctor_Roidberg: 10/31/2020 3:05:11 PMThey only come here to do damage control immediately after a new release to look like they’re engaged. Then when the playerbase falls off, as do they. I don’t blame them for it, as I feel that it’s a result of higher-ups pulling the strings.
-
Simple, they do not care and will continue to come up with excuses to not care.
just curious
I'll tell you the truth but you may not like it. They are waiting for the last possible moment when BL needs to sell to have Cozmo/Dmg spend time on here for the new players. The forum is lit right now and has been for a long time becase of the multiple deliberate poor actions this company is making and will continue to make. Knowing how lit it is, what could Cozmo or Dmg actually say other than...
I'll let the team know...
That being said, they are only allowed to give info that is approved by this company. They are only the community managers and their actions are limited to what they can say unless it's just to play on the forum other than talking about the game.
