Remember when this game used to be fun?
Anyone remember when this game used to be fun? When light level mattered for more than a measure of what activities you could do? When the whole player base mattered instead of the 10 or 15 guys who do nothing but sit in a dark basement and complain about how this game is to easy because they solo master nightfalls with a blindfold on and need more of a challenge? Back before this company was more interested in making this game fun for the people that actually paid to play it instead of all these people that download for free and just gum up the game for a couple weeks, long enough to completely annoy the actual players?
When PvP was actually fun before it became the hacker fest it is today?
Well I remember. If this company doesn’t pul their collective heads out of their ass, they are going to see a mass exodus of their player base.
I want to play this game. I want to pay for good and fun content.
I DO NOT want to play a game that has been increasingly tailored to a select few and is handed out to any Tom, Dick and Harry with a Gold account.
Please fix some of these issues. It is incredibly frustrating. Your player base is begging you!

14 RespuestasThere was a time I'd look forward to getting home to play with the clan etc. Haven't bothered now, not enjoying it at all. Cancelled my preorder. I've left my clan as no desire to play. Destiny today for me is for my 3 year old to ride around on the sparrow which he likes, that's it.

Most of my Destiny memories are from D1. Every time I go into D2, I can amuse myself at least, but it seems more like a chore. I mainly grind while listening to horror podcasts.

3 RespuestasFor me Beyond Light is absolutely make or break for if I stick with the game. Been through D1 and all of D2 and I can honestly say I've never known a game to dangle the carrot of being great so much but always managing to just keep it out of reach. Don't get me wrong, some parts of the game are great, but I really question the directions the game is taking. Sticking with a seasonal model is wrong - it's never going to work becasue Bungie simply can't make engaging enough content at that pace, they have proven it over and over and over. This DCV is just an attempt to supplement that by adding in reskinned content here and there to make seasons feel more fleshed out and I can only see that working for so long before it gets stale. It just feels like everytime something new is introduced it's done in a pretty dissapointing way, like armor 2.0. Affinities are still annoying and do more to restrict gameplay than enhance it. Same with seasonal mods. Coming into year 4 and we're still micro managing useless drops every 30 mins of play. We're still spamming play time loading into and out of the tower just to get bounties...All the while Eververse gets the most work and improvements made to it.... BL really is the last chance for Bungie to make me feel that they actually want to make a good game and not just milk the franchise to death.

This is a link for help with addiction. And I think you're in need OP. You keep logging in hundreds of hours, and have 3 characters over 1080. But you don't think the game is fun. Stop, Get some help

1 RespuestaNothing will change as long as people pat themselves on the shoulder saying that everything is fine when Bungie releases half baked stuff that can be finished in less than a week. I remember back in Forsaken when I was counting the minutes for the next reset. Now I can just chill for weeks and just jump in the game in the last 2 weeks of the season and get everything done. Like, back in season of the Worthy, I finished the Almighty title and the season pass completely in 5-6 days. That's what Bungie considers content that's worth playing for months lol. They are just a washed up version of Activision where all they care about is money and they just invest in fancy cinematics. Then when the actual "content" drops and you see how cheesy everything is and how short the actual grind is, you start questioning wether it's worth paying for 1 week worth of content or not lol.

The past year of destiny has been horrible, imo. My engagement in this game is at an all time low. Over the past 6 months we have gotten 2 public events, a few story missions, 10-15 guns and 6 exotics. Cost $20, worth the money,yes. Worth engagement , NO, IMO, once again.

1 RespuestaDestiny as a whole has been around 6 years, pretty much the entire lifespan of the original Xbox and PlayStation 2. It's time for Bungie to pivot from Destiny to something else. Problem is Bungie are in a weird spot where they are obviously creatively bankrupt and they can't just walk away from the money Destiny brings in so they have to keep it running even if it's just on fumes so the studio can survive. We have all changed in the 6 years Destiny has been around I just think it's time for some of us to move on and stop expecting this game to be something it obviously can't be.

Yes!!! Playing with my clan and laughing the whole time, all our inside jokes, meeting random new friends in open-world activities because we helped each other out, blueberries asking to join us during PVP and Gambit and making friends that way. There was a ton of fun stuff to do, weapons to earn, PVP, missions, Nightfall crowns, titles, and we'd all work together so everyone got those achievements.

Most people will just say, "It's just nOsTaLgIa", but I really don't think it is. I remember D1 had its rough spots, but I always had fun coming back to do something, whether it be chase some Strike specific loot, chase loot only available in certain playlists, just goof around with guns in the Crucible. I could run strikes all night and never get bored. D2 on the other hand, after being forced to grind inane tasks (moreso than D1) in order to get anything worth spit, I just got tired of it. I got bored. The Strike modifiers are boring and predictable, if you want to have fun in regular Crucible you need to sweat all the time, Gambit has become boring and predictable with every Invader just jumping, spamming Truth, and yeeting out; Raids have pointless loot and no incentive to grind outside of bragging rights. One more thing I know I'm forgetting.... oh yeah, the reality of sunsetting defeats the purpose of any major time-investment in the game.

2 RespuestasIt never stopped being fun for me until my friends left. This game is soooooo good with buddies and like minded people. But those days are gone for me I lost my clan in the red war and then my main fireteam 3 seasons ago I'm all alone now. :(

I am a fairly solid destiny player, and while "fun" is relative, I do wish they would shift the focus away from 1%ers. I feel like purchasing an expansion i only get 50% of the content because it is light or fireteam gated.

Remember when it used to be fun? Yeah, that was last night when my friends and I were laughing our asses off at the way I accidentally killed someone by driving my sparrow into them and launching them into a wall. The game is still fun. You're just burnt out.
