So once Mars, Titan, IO, and Murcury are gone are the planetary materials still gonna be useful? Should we be spending them all before the end of the season? I've got more than a thousand of each right now. I'm sure people who've been playing longer have way more than that.

I agree that if the destinations come back and we’ve spent it all or exchanged it all then it rather defeats the object of the exercise but perhaps they’ll have a bright idea.. Or the queue at The Spider might be pretty long.

6 RespuestasI'm sure we'll find out on November 9th at 7pm eastern.

Considering the tangled shore will still be around, you can still exchange planetary materials with spider. Who knows what we will need them for if and when transmog comes into play. Also a few other things to think about... With vaulting content there will eventually be a need to pull out a planet to progress a storyline. Or rehash the planet design for other uses. When they bring back the cosmodrome I would assume they will convert the original D1 planetary material into the EDZ material. They are just random spawn generated locations, they are just changing what spawns there.
-
"Still gonna be useful?" Implies that they are useful now.
-
I’m sure once we get closer to Nov we will hear more on most of these questions. We still have 3 months to go, doesn’t hurt anyone holding on to these. I get what your coming from though.
-
They should have addressed this a long time ago. So incompetent.
-
A good question that bungie should address soon. should ...
-
2 RespuestasLOL I stil have planetary tokens.
-
2 RespuestasSince Bungie hasn't mentioned anything about them, I would bet that they're probably going to roll them into a new material. Much like in D1 when all of our different armor materials were just turned into "armor materials."

Save them

10 RespuestasEditado por Demon_XXVII: 8/3/2020 11:26:28 PMA: Bungie don’t care B: Expect them all (including ghosts with the sunset planetary perks to be useless!) & here’s the kick in the nuts... C: Expect every single one of those obsolete materials to need manually dismantling individually with a really bloomin looooong button press!

2 RespuestasI’m sitting on 7,200 alkane dust, 3,400 seraphite, 3,000 phaseglass needles, 2,700 simulation seeds. I’d like to know sooner rather than later if I’ve to cash them all in at the vendors before destination vaulting.
-
I expect Bungie vaulting content to be a low key way of purging hordes of materials, but I also don't see them putting in the work to reconfigure the economy to no longer accept them. So.....50/50 they're useful or not come November?
-
That's what I've been wondering about with ghost perks
-
You can be sure they will be useless and we won't be able to use them to infuse.
-
Likely auto convert like they use to or per there current doctrine. Say oops rasputin won’t accept them any more. Rather someone won’t accept them anyway.
-
Spider will probably still exchange them or Banshee may still take them for infusion cores... maybe both
-
7 RespuestasSo....I guess everyone is just gonna forget that the Spider exists?
-
But you’ll get spinmetal from the cosmodrome! Oh wait...
-
I still have my tokens....
-
Editado por Tactical_Hobbit: 8/4/2020 5:29:35 PMI have 1000 of each resource, I hope bungie doesn't delete them on me.
-
A question I would like to see answered! Thank you Zen Berzerker77!!
-
3 RespuestasI doubt they'll do anything with them. I mean we're coming into year 4 and we still have weapon telemetires....
-
2 Respuestasthey'll do nothing with them just like all my faction tokens...
-
Vaulting means the content can come back someday so I doubt they’ll just disappear. However, it seems like a crap solution to just leave them to take up space in our inventories or vaults. I’m hoping they address this before the launch so we have time to do something with them if we need to. They have a lot of ground to cover to get some good will back from players, this seems like an easy bone to throw people.

That's a very pertinent question. I would like to know that as well.
