I wanted to try to understand how satisfied the community was with each class. FFXIV does this periodically and I always find it informative, especially regarding classes I don't play. So I thought we could use something similar. I'm going to make one for each class; so if you play other classes, or want to understand how people feel about a class you don't play, feel free to check them out.
Edit: Thank you to everyone who participated. This has been very informative. I hope that this has given some of you insight into the current state of Titan and the community's perception of the class.

9 RespuestasTitan is the weakest Class and I've mained it hard forever. Bottom Tree Sentinel needs help Middle Tree Sunbreaker needs help. All Striker Trees need a massive buff. Barricades need to be faster or at least have more damage resistance while casting. And they need to be more consistent with how they block damage. Taken Knights' flames still damage you even behind it.

2 RespuestasI'm generally satisfied with the Titan Class. I've been playing Titan as my main since Destiny's Beta, and I feel the Class is in a good spot right now. I feel like I can do everything I want with the Titan, it's like a Jack-Of-All-Trades, but doesn't really stand out too much somewhere. Everything just fits nicely, but maybe I feel like that because of the enormous amount of time I played the Titan. I can protect myself and Teammates. I can buff them and debuff enemies through Artifact abilities. I can deal good damage, or clean groups of enemies. I'm happy with the different abilities, and excited for the new Darkness abilities. They look great. The one thing I'm not happy with are the Titan Class Exotics. Most Titan Class Exotics do have decent abilities that are useful and fun in itself, but they almost never stand out. There are too many Exotics that are too niché or too general, and the few that are specialized like Ashen Wake (only affect Solar Subclass Fusion Grenades), usually still don't stand out. Of course there are some Exotics that are really strong, or in some cases too strong. But to me it always felt that other Classes and their Exotics have been changed more than the Titan - because the Titans feels most balanced. Maybe just my impression.

It's ok, I prefer the dreaming city though.

26 RespuestasIn PvE, they're the worst class. In PvP, they're too strong with an 'easy mode' one hit kill melee with an 80 degree hit window on all three subclasses that takes no skill, indestructible walls and easy mode Supers that last too long. But in PvE, they still suck hardest and just aren't needed for anything because Warlocks and Hunters are just best for all PvE content. The beauty of a shared sandbox that Bungie won't split to balance things correctly for both areas of the game. If they actually split the sandbox then PvE and PvP could be balanced properly. But, this is the 'Most Incompetent Game Developer 2019' award winner we're talking about here. Just to point out that I play all three classes pretty evenly in PvE and PvP (when I do play PvP) so this isn't a biased view towards one or the other, just my opinion from my personal experience (which will trigger some Titan main, guaranteed. It always does).

1 RespuestaTitans: Playing it safe, Hunters: Taking chances, Warlocks: Taking abilities from both..
-
The class is so OP that they had a planet named after them.

Testosterone

I use dunemarchers and throwing hammer, I have fun, thats all.
-
Wish they had options with much less of a focus on melee play. Every Titan subclass seems pretty underwhelming if you're not within Shotgun range and getting those punches off. It'd be nice to have a subclass/tree or Exotic armor that provides much better movement or rewards/improves gunplay for a nice change of pace.

1 RespuestaHow could you not be happy being op af?

Editado por BIRB: 8/2/2020 1:12:40 AMI’m pretty happy with the Titan. I was a warlock main on D1 and became a Titan main when I switched to PC. I mainly play Titan because I love the shoulder charge ability; it gives great mobility and is pretty powerful. I enjoy using top tree sunbreakers and the ol’ bubble. I know titans aren’t the best for PvE or PvP, but sometimes you don’t always need the best y’know? Sometimes you just gotta enjoy the little things. The Titan class is the most fun for me.

2 RespuestasWorst class in the game. Slowest most awkward moving guardians there are.
-
I still would like to know why Titans are out running my Hunter with maxed out mobility and traction..hmmm
-
At first i thought this was about the moon Titan and that 64% of you actually liked the map
-
1 RespuestaBad movement imo, i miss Titan skating. I just want to move like D1 lol
-
I’m satisfied however I’m just a little peeved that Titans will just be getting another variant of a slam super in November :/
-
I'm satisfied, but I feel like I can only run bubble for difficult content due to the dps of other classes being garbage. burning maul really my only other option.
-
Love everything about them except the jump mechanics. If we had better customization options, I'd switch mains in a heartbeat. The Hunter Jump is just so superior and feels leagues better than the Warlock and Titan. Mobility is the greatest factor for me in video games and I just feel inherently helpless/clumsy as a Titan and Warlock.

4 RespuestasEditado por Dredgen Wolf: 7/31/2020 11:12:39 PMMaybe if armor actually mattered Titans would be better. I think classes should look as follows: Titans: Make them the damage sponge tank, less reliance on powers. Heavy reliance on armor and weapons but allows them to take insane damage, and deal more damage when crushing enemies due to having the most physical strength. Hunter: Make them the agile acrobatic skirmisher, more reliance on speed and dodging enemy fire. Uses some stealthy abilities, can only take average damage. Has highest stamina. Warlocks: Have more abilities, and fastest regen of powers. Relies solely on powers and abilities due to lack of armor and can only take minimum damage before dying. Acts as Mage/Healer and hangs back away from main combat. Has highest power regen.

Currently kind of unsatisfied mainly being that titans currently lack identity and the gap between classes is going to get much worse with beyond light. I’ll elaborate on that though 1. Titans currently don’t have anything that really stands out over any of the other classes only one that comes to mind is just thundercrash and bubble, warlocks took our dodge and skating in pre nerf form and received a better version of hammer of sol with dawn blade, hunters can now build a better wall that can block lanes than barricade as well as numerous fist of havoc type slam abilities now from arcstrider and the new s.t.a.s.i.s slam. Warlocks have better overall melee options with celestial fire and stormcallers long range melee and both classes have better overall synergy between abilities and exotic pairings. Titans have a few but are very negligible because of titans overall lack of a neutral game in current endgame. 2.Titans ARE NOT TANKS almost every exotic / ability that turned us into tanks has either been nerfed, removed or turned into a non viable option. Shoulder charge is a terrible and inconsistent ability that is poorly implemented into 3 sub par subclasses that received 2 nerfs. Resilience doesn’t do enough and every class can reach 100 resilience. 3. Titans new subclass is just another version of fist of havoc and a lunge melee ability ( pretty much Synthoceps) titans being a punch only class and not even the best punching class makes it feel extremely hollow and it lacks any and all forms of identity because nothing truly stands out. A large part of this blame is due to bungie’s laziness to make anything memorable by when they do it gets nerfed within mere months due to people complaining. On the contrary hunters new melee ability can go through opponents ricochet of surfaces (just like sentinel shield throw) but freezes and suppresses targets. Warlocks new staff can freeze bind shatter opponents with a new styled projectile as well as creating an AOE field type explosion, meanwhile titans get the same abilities re-skinned

11 RespuestasWell, the guardians feel like a pansy in this game so that should tell you. I remember in the first game using the titan for the first time and thinking to myself, why did I wait so long to create this character. I had a blast using the titan until the world's worst sandbox that should have won an award for being the #1 nerf happy team went on their rampage literally nerfing everything in the game, name it and I can guarantee they nerfed it. Hell, if once wasn't enough somethings were hit multiple times. I started out with a warlock and went to the hunter because at that time I had no interest in using a titan. It was 3 months before I started using a titan in the first game and it felt like it had power. This game? your super is only good for killing red bars, Ooooh! that's so special 😂

2 RespuestasI was really hoping that they would expand on this world. The Arcology has so many layers and places to go.
-
Decent patrol space, enjoyed the aesthetic even if it did feel a bit cramped, 6/10

1 RespuestaTitans are ok. The resilience attribute, on the other hand, is solid -blam!-ing garbage and needs a straight up make over.

4 RespuestasI think the class needs more diversity. Its WAY too much of the same crap on every skill tree.
