SBMM
Don’t care what anyone says but Bungie have ruined IB and crucible by removing SBMM, I used to at least enjoy IB but right now I’m am ready to quit this crap for good. NICE JOB BUGIE PANDER TO THE 1%

2 RespuestasDude if it were pandering to the 1% then that would apply to both spectrums. 1% winners and 1% losers that’s the SBMM system. They get tested and you guys get a breeze to deal with in crucible. With this it’s open so that everyone can have fun, and all it takes is to just simply improve. If you can’t, I’m sorry just deal with it. I know it’s not fun, but there’s no point sitting here typing your frustrations when you can be improving yourself. Side note, if you can believe this it’s hard for us too. We have to carry the lacking people on our team almost every match. Especially in control when they don’t even try to play the objective at all.

What is the issue u have with pvp at the moment? All u said cbmm ruined pvp. Please be more descriptive. I am genuinely curious.

3 RespuestasLook, mate. Iron Banner is the sweatiest 6v6 Valor playlist there is. If you can't keep up, don't blame CBMM for it. SBMM was, in my experience, far, far worse. You could get into 10+ game loss streaks and watch yourself go from ranking in the low 3.000s in Iron Banner, to being rank 150.00 due to being the only one on your team with an ELO over 1k, whereas the opposing team has an even ELO distribution varying not more than 200 top to bottom with power levels in ranging not more than 20 top to bottom. Skill Based Matchmaking used a fundamentally flawed metric to make matches and it made the game insufferable for everyone. That's not even to mention the strain it put on the servers because out of 12 players, odds were at least 4 of them would halfway around the globe from you, meaning increased lag, increased server response latency, and an overall negative experience across the board. CBMM, I will admit, is frustrating as hell sometimes, but nothing is quite as frustrating as loading into a match with a bunch of people in Taiwan, China, Korea, and Singapore whom you cannot communicate with and who are lagging on your end because the matchmaking algorithm couldn't find an SBMM closer to home at peak gaming hours.

This was the final straw for me. I already had little reason to even play D2 at this point. My two favorite activities were ruined by Bungie. The Menagerie and IB.

1 RespuestaTotally agree. This is a flipping shambles. I really do not get the hate for sbmm. Yeah you have to wait a few seconds more ( and that’s all it is) but at least you match up with similar players. The cbmm matches you in stomps with a connection speed no quicker. Not enjoyable at all

Isn't it funny that this is the exact reason why a lot of people hated SBMM? "All I ever fight are sweats." I believe the comeback was that they complain too much and just need to "git gud."

I'm focused on the PVE component player. and the Iron Banner was the only one PvP mode I used to go. Im always did it with pleasure and enjoyed IB for 6 years so far. Now the road to IB is closed to me. thank you a lot @bungie

Even in a cbmm environment there needs to be team balancing of some kind. I ran my banner quest, all bounties then played some additional pvp across banner and qp. It's definitely broken, I went just over a 7.0kd(not efficiency) in the last 25 matches at 525 kills vs 75 deaths. Managed about 7/8 we Rans, even a few in banner. Lost all three we ran matches I got in banner too. Keep in mind, I solo queued only, even within banner. Team balancing needs to be a thing. While I enjoy putting up big numbers, I can't help but feel bad for others and it doesn't help me have fun, close matches.

2 Respuestasbro actually take the time to get better. my kd was far below a .9 in D1 but I kept playing and playing crucible until I got better because I enjoy playing it. Its like learning how to walk. If you dont keep on walking and walking you wont ever figure out how to actually do it properly. Plus honestly you'l probobly never even see the 1% in the crucible because their literally 1% of the entire playerbase. I don't even see people in the crucible like that half the time. Honestly some of us that don't have 2.0 kd's actually enjoy cbmm.

And I will take CBMM over SBMM even getting stomped match after match, mercied left and right, I don't care. I will take CBMM all day long because, at least with CBMM I can learn something. I can adapt. I can alter my approach, try different tactics, explore different weapons and see which methods can be effective against people at all skill levels. With SBMM, I would get that 1 guy who takes no damage despite unloading a clip into his skull, is running in place, shooting me while facing 45' away looking at a f*c king wall, teleporting as a titan like nobodies business meleeing me from 10 yards away (1 shot). F.u.c.k. T.h.a.t. S.h.i.t.e.

I haven’t tried IB yet do I can’t speak on that. Normal crucible has been much better overall. The only people that really seem to dislike it from what I’ve seen so far are the below average players since for the SBMM acted as a safe space to shield for the average and high skill players. No offence, but you fall into that below average umbrella.

No. SBMM is irrelevant. IB is ruined by stupid quest requirements that make people ignore the objective, and by lagged 4+ stacks. Also, a lot of actual cheaters.
