Updated Weapons List (Season 12 Prep) : Weapons that will be viable in end game activities in Beyond Light.

Hey everyone, For folks out there getting ahead of the game on end game viable weapons for sunsetting coming this fall with Beyond Light, I wanted to share this list of currently in game obtainable weapons so people can start getting ahead before big changes are made. Here are a couple questions below if you're confused: [quote][b]What do you mean "weapon sunsetting"? These weapons will be able to infuse to maximum power for endgame content that that have been confirmed so far (June 2020).       This is a great post and highlights the fact that in order to keep the game meta healthy they will need to add more weapons, both the new ones from Europa as well as re-issue ones from previous seasons. I get the feeling a lot of the year 1 Vanguard, Crucible and world vendor weapons will be returning to the loot pool, as will some of the year 2 weapons when they need to fill an elemental niche within a weapon type. For example, as of year 4 there will be no void linear fusion rifles which makes me think they will bringing the Crooked Fang into year 4. My other reasoning for this is that it increases the number of potential weapons that they can cycle back in. I am also inclined to think that any of the weapons with curated rolls, so the Dreaming City, Lost Forges, Gambit/Reckoning, Nightfall and Altars of Sorrow weapons will remain. The reasoning behind this is that whilst D2 is free to play much of the content in Forsaken and Shadowkeep is not and so to remove the viability of those weapons from the people who have paid for the right to use them in any content that they chose to use them in would be unfair. Now with regards to the unique swords that we get from the Menagerie we have one more type of Umbral engram coming that I think will give us a chance to re-acquire those weapons. They will also have to make the Drang and the MIDA Mini-tool available as those weapons are a part of the way you use the Sturm and the MiDA Multi-tool, the Drang is in fact needed to complete the Sturm Catalyst.

    • As more Exotics are added, could we see some of the older ones being sunset at any point in Destiny 2’s future, or will they never be sunset?

                  • This list just shows me even more that sunsetting is truly a stupid idea and that lukes vision is for players to just keep re-earning the same shit over and over again. So disappointed. This season is even worse than last season. My clan still wont touch the game and how can i say "hey guys come play iron banner this week so you can get more year 1 weapons and armor. It is like a bad joke now.

                    • This just shows we were smart not to pre-order the next expansion. I lose my class specific sword, my favorite bow and my mastworked armor nice. For all the people that farmed countless of hours for any of the Pinnacle weapons I think it is a slap in your face that you weapons become obsolete in a few months.
