The people who have these weapons you are trying to "Sunset" were here at the opening of the door, These weapons and armor are neither game breaking nor do they offer any advantage over the masses, they are simply a doorway into the past that allows others to see what the game used to be like. I LIKE BEING UNIQUE! You have already made it to where it is a downgrade to use our old weapons and armor due to not allowing us to use the new MODs on either and adding these enemies that can only be destroyed with a specific modification or weapon, so we have to choose between style and function, retiring our hard earned gear is not only redundant, but it is cruel. If you do this, I will have nothing to do with your game, nor any game Bungie comes out with in the future. I payed for all of my content that I worked so hard to attain with endless hours of my life that I could have applied in better games than this, Like ANTHEM and Planetside 2. Both are rough around the edges, but they understand you do not take what people play and/or pay for. Besides I do not have the stomach, nor LIGHT to restart my hunt for the best gear or weapon set. It took me 3 years to get my Guardian the way I want her across the 3 classes, tampering with her in ANY way WILL result in me actively leaving your company, or turning to the dark-side and attaining all of your content from here on out for free. If you are going to impale with the faithful players in Light, you might as well be hackers in my book. Why not listen to the Darkness? People turn to hackers when they feel wronged. You would be stealing from me, why should you not be stolen from? This is coming from someone who has done nothing BUT sing your praises from Launch, save for the decision you made to "Part" the game when it was not necessary.... Destiny should never have been a 2. You only have 1 Destiny.... Everything you all released could have just been released as an add on to it, and the powers that be KNOWS IT. You even have the SAME START UP STAGE FROM DESTINY WHEN YOU MAKE A NEW CHARACTER IN DESTINY 2!!! Retiring Weapons is the main reason I stopped playing Destiny Origin. Feel free to copy and re-post this where ever you think the Bungie staff will read this, my fellow Guardians. P.S. You should not FORCE people to do anything. If we want to use your new weapons then we will. It is not like we are not trying them. But it is OUR choice. What you are doing is flying in the face of what you claim the spirit of the game is. "Play how YOU want to play." Well if you keep forcing us to play how you want us to-- (Please see paragraph 3.)
