I think it only feel ridicious because everyone is using it. If there was like 2 people per game using it then you probably wouldn't even notice it. It's only because people are doing the catalyst quest so you find like 5 people a game using it with the aoe all over the floor. It'll be okay soon.

I had MT one shot me out of dawn blade the other day. Pretty sure I was full health too.
its really only good for map control, actually getting kills with it requires some modicum of skill, however I can see it being cancer in Iron Banana and Trials of the Tryhards due to light level difference. Imo I'd decrease AoE probably 10-15%, bump the tick rate to be slightly faster to compensate size loss, honestly the only thing op about it is the AoE size, the DoT damage is pretty sweet but I don't think it's OP at least PvP wise, people aren't going to stand in a glowing orb of death for long enough to matter.
however in a 6v6 with stacks of these things basically covering the map it's actually cancer, at the same time though if they nerf AoE size it will impact it's usefulness in PvE. it's honestly in a good spot already from the get go, I mean they may patch out the Boss Cheeses but I'd leave it as is even though it's annoying.
This presents the issue that every MMO has already moved past, weapons need two tunings one for PVE and one for PVP and until that happens we're gonna keep getting busted weapons for one or both modes and weapons made useless for one or both.
There has to be a system in place to differentiate between the two very clearly different modes, so their performance can be catered to each mode individually.

Yes I'd love obviously blue for friendly and obviously red for enemy.
The ground aoe is too large, reduce it by half so it can't just cover a point entirely and I feel it would be fine.
Give it a week before you see a video showing exactly how to aim on certain maps so you can deny capture of an A/C point from a multi bounce grenade
