Edit: listen, I didn’t dislike having this type of event. What I dislike is the lack of communication and the time it took. I wish they told me of their 30 minute grace period earlier after 15 mins into 1:00 pm. I would have got on later. I with the event dissent take an HOUR AND A HALF. If done correctly, that would’ve been dope. Max 15 minutes. Well worth it. But i simply don’t want to sit for so long, for 1 minute of actually immersive cool stuff. Another issue I have is, I haven’t even been to the city! What am I even saving? That is an underlying issue, I know, and it has nothing to do with the event, but come on. I also will never visit the crash nor has it altered Russia or anything. Besides that, a cutscene is good. You know. 2 minutes of dope animation. I will take that over 2 hours of nothing any day. Some argue FOMO, but eh, there’s YouTube. And all you got was an emblem.

1 RespuestaLive events are fine, but don’t make us wait 30 minutes before literally anything changes when you say something starts at a certain time. Shorter and a more prompt start would have been fine.

Another crybaby

3 RespuestasI much rather have an event like this than a cutscene. It feels more dynamic and intriguing. Maybe have a cutscene that leads into the event and then another one showing the aftermath
-
23 RespuestasNo. Just no. This was a new way to deliver story and they should continue to do live stuff that makes the game more real.

21 RespuestasEditado por Jet Set Willy: 6/6/2020 7:25:08 PMBefore the event we were saying ‘this had better be more than just a custscene’. Then after seeing how bad the live event was we’re all, ‘please Bungie, next time just do a cutscene’. 😂
-
9 RespuestasThe youtubers are all posting their streams to their channels. It was for them, not us.
-
2 RespuestasThen you'd complain about that and say "Bungie is so lazy they just gave a cutscene. They should have done something unique."
-
An hour after the "event" a time lapse video was posted on Twitter.. I logged out after 40 mins.. so in the end I missed NADA. I did get to do other things, like make a sandwich. That was good!

You’ve been to the city if you’ve played vanilla campaign, Scourge raid or MidTown PVP map.

10 RespuestasI stopped playing a destiny title for the first time this season, which in itself is sad. But at the very least they were giving us cutscenes that were thankfully more than just Eris walking somewhere and silently touching things. A cutscene will always tell the story better than whatever this is supposed to be. What the hell happened to the company that made the most kickass video games I’ve been playing for 20+ years? This... isn’t them.

And we never going to visit the crash site either! :D

1 RespuestaIf this is going to be the norm I'm not interested. It's a game I shouldn't have to schedule my life around it for fomo.
-
The Last City is in South America, not Russia
-
It would be nice to see a short cut scene that shows all the missiles launching from its respective silos on Earth , moon and IO.

8 RespuestasEditado por draycole: 6/6/2020 8:39:04 PMWhy don't people on this forum ask for improvements? Instead we take the same half ass philosophy bungie does of "just abandon it and try something else" I haven't seen a single complaint other than "it took too long" Yet every one of those complaints are followed by statements that make it seem like everything about the event was a complete failure.

1 RespuestaEditado por cycofreak3: 6/6/2020 6:19:23 PMI'd rather a cutscene than a live event this boring and drawn out. It would have been better if this started at weekly reset and escalated each day.

There’s gonna be because theres a sword to give or do something with on Tuesday

3 RespuestasIdk. I was a fan of the concept. It was a first time attempt. If there ever is a next time they just need to look at the tens of thousands of comments related to both: -The "grace period" to allow people on before the initial streaks appeared in the sky. The time it took for the attack to actually reach the Almighty should have been the grace period. Nothing before. They should've popped up at the schedule time, plain and simple. -The long drawn out nature of the event. This could've easily been 3-5x as short (not including the 40 minutes prior to start) and given the same 60-75 second WOAH factor. Cutscenes are good. This is good too. It was just implemented poorly.
