For those working on Mountaintop
Hello all!
The best chance that you have at the moment is momentum control. So equip your militia's birthright, your fighting lion, your orwing's maul, or those lovely new launchers from last season. Then equip the colony. Why the colony? Well folks are busy trying to get their randy's and their other pinnacle weapons so they're all bunched up teamshotting. So the colony gets two or three per shot when it blows.
Some folks say to double up with the MB and the secondary launcer, but I've actually found that it works better if you're using a standard primary and your secondary launcher. If you're using two launchers and you miss both shots, well the guy using the Jade Rabbit or the spare rations will eat you for breakfast. I've been using my blast furnace to good effect, but you can use whatever you want. Thankfully I'm also to the void kills for the thorn quest, so that's saving me some time.
My brother being the madman that he is is going all launchers. MB, Orwing's and POTG. He teams it up with his throwing hammers. Like I said, a madman, Haha!
Good luck guardians and for everyone else, please stop Netflixing while we're doing crucible. Ya'll are killing the bandwidth!

2 RespuestasWith sunsetting on the horizon (which I'm a cautious fan of) I honestly don't see the reason in trying so hard for the gun anymore. I mean, yeah its strong, but it gets stale fast. I got my Mountaintop with the original grind and it was honestly the worst experience in all of my 20 years of gaming. If I hadn't have gotten by now, I wouldn't have taken another look at it. I've stopped doing pinnacle/ritual quests because of sunsetting. No sense in making guns require so much effort when you're throwing them away. My advice is to just get other, easier weapons and make fun loadouts. Mountain is on its way out the door anyway.

1 RespuestaPlaying crucible is probably the best way to farm warmind bits too, so get a tonne seraph and crucible bounties, and work on some PvP pinnacles at the same time 👍

After months upon months of not feeling like doing the quest. I did the entire grenade launcher part of the quest in 2 sittings, double kills were a little annoying at times but the mountain top is worth it for sure.

A Y1 Play of the Game with Remote Detonation is a great option in the heavy slot in Momentum Control.

That's where I was able to finish of the Randy's Throwing Knife quest. I got Mountaintop and I think it is totally overrated on the console. I cannot get kills with this thing unless I'm in the air. Too many crappy maps make it unusable. The blast radius is so tiny, you pretty much have to get direct hits. That's pretty tough in Survival, where the majority are fast moving hunters. I had much better luck with Fighting Lion.
