I want to play the game i bought and feel rewarded. I want to "fall" for one gun like Hung Jury (fireflyed) in D1 and USE IT. People are sick of constant changes (Orpheus Rig nerf is the last aberration, you need to stop nerfing things because you didnt properly planned and thought about the use of certain items in new activities) and people are tired of unrewarding forced grind. Please read that, be humble, be clever and think about it:

Where is the Scrappy Load, I have not heard from him???

2 RespuestasFirst off Let me state I don’t want to be here on the boards at all I would much rather be playing, but this season content is not good at all so far, unless you’re at light lever 1000 or have a fire team you’re not going to walk through this to get rewards, it not relaxing, fun, play, it a grind specially if you’re a solo player. Seasonal content should be fun play that gets you new rewards. I've accepted the fact that there is a lot of content I will never get to experience in destiny. I’m more of a solo player and since Bungie refuse to turn on match making for everything and Guided Beta don’t work or it never matches me with anyone trying to guide, I don’t want to waste time go look for fire teams to complete long tasks like raids and dungeons. I did that in D1 and its exhausting and waste of time when people drop out and you can complete a raid, especially getting on a team for trials. I know I will never make it to the light house because of the style of play Bungie prefers is fire team play and then flawless is the goal but considering pvp is far from flawless and pvp is who has best cheats or just higher tier weapons from farming as a fire team I will never get to enjoy trails . But Bungie if you want players to go Flawless maybe they should make a flawless PVP game 1st. I was hoping trails would be more like comp but with bonus of doing trials achievement to unlock weapons but I will never have a trails weapons adept or other. Bungie must have forgot how many of us were mad in D1 about not being able to get these weapons, and how they ruin regular pvp when you can’t get them yourself, but I’m sure Bungie will figure it out because there going full circle and messing up like they did in D1. I won’t lie I’m getting to the point like when D2 was released and I pre order D2 Plus 1st two explanations and it was crap and I quit playing until forsaken came out and Bungie fixed a lot and it was fun to play. The last two season were pretty good gave me something to do that was repetitively fun and I could get reward. But when 3 players can get infinity better gear because they play pvp as a fire team without a purchase I have to grind for days to get avg gear, I’m seriously contemplating being done with Bungie once and for all. I’m tired of grinding for avg gear only to be owned by someone with weapon I can’t get because I don’t have a constant fire team. I could go on but the message is here is good enough. And for any of your who think just go play another game send my my hundreds of dollars I've spent with Bungie and I will, otherwise I have every right to criticize the game I paid for.

2 RespuestasHow did this get buried under a bunch of garbage?

9 RespuestasI lol every time I see clueless forum goers post about how weapon retirement is "necessary due to power creep" when power creep isnt a thing in d2. Power creep would mean a Y3 pulse like sacred providence would do much more damage or have more perks compared to a Y2 blast furnace - but they're exactly the same. Power creep doesnt exist so that's part 1 of Smith's reason for this change gone let's focus on part 2 - his claim that new gear wasn't being used, to begin with its bungie job to provide content - not enforce that all new content gets used, however the fact is that new gear does get used - but only if its solid, season of dawn had several good weapons (breachlight, perfect paradox, travelers judgement, steelfeather repeater and line in the sand) all of which see use, no not everything gets used because bad archtypes mixed with lackluster perk pools means players wont touch them. Bungie failing to make new gear appealing is on them. If they'd drop a new primary 150 cannon with a good perk pool the community would grind away for rolls. Instead this season they make the new seraph gun a 180 and decided not to bring back jewel of osiris (or messenger) despite them bringing back everything else.

1 RespuestaGreat artice from vice, thanks for sharing. Hopefully Bungie takes it seriously.

1 RespuestaEditado por Lee Ames: 3/17/2020 11:02:55 AMBack in the day, I was hooked on Call Of Duty - Zombies and would sink hours, days and months into to it, the same can be said about Gears Of War - Horde Mode and guess why? They were fun and made me want to play them. Destiny 2 is lacking that ingredient, it feels like a chore and it's getting extremely boring. The game modes I just mentioned were just that, game modes, not entire games, but they still offered more fun and addiction than the world of Destiny 2. Why are we still getting a reskins of Prison Of Elders, Court of Oryx and Archon Forge in Destiny 2? With every DLC, we get a new version of the same game mode and like idiots, we keeping paying for them. Think about it - The new Public Event is the same thing, then you have Escalation Protocol, Vex Offensive, Menagerie, Reckoning and The Forge and I've still probably missed some. And why are they rehashing Lost Sectors AGAIN???

Editado por SwankyButters: 3/19/2020 8:41:28 AMWell this post is starting to fade, like the one before it, which I expected. Look... There are only a few possible ways for them to save this game. 1) Ask for the original team back. Give them part ownership and let them do what they wanted to do in the first place. (I know, a pipe dream) 2) Go back to the original creators, give them some money and ask them what you guys are doing wrong cause I'm sure they have answers. (Clearly only people who were not in favor of clans or things you HAD to do in groups) 3) Find a whole knew team of people who understand what makes a video game fun. Fun, fun, fun. That is about it. I see no other way for this game to get out of the mud it has been in for years. I doubt any of this will happen, but I needed to share one of the most basic of concepts that I could come up with. I see no other way for this game to thrive.

1 RespuestaLUKE SMITH who cares that you got a title SCARAB LORD how long ago was that mate ? It's pathetic and stupid that after so long you continue to bring that up , it means shit at the end of the day and also something that you did not 100% do yourself you had others log on to ur account to complete it, no one cares about you're title, no one wants a Wowstiny they want DESTINY

1 RespuestaEditado por CordovaLark: 3/19/2020 10:45:22 AMBungie chose their path when they started taking advice from streamers. Some of whom have been caught cheating, and using exploits to finish raids etc. Enhancement Cores? The community has hated them ever since they were introduced, streamers on the other hand... Weapon retirement? Backlash from all sides of the community, streamers on the other hand... The more Bungie keeps focusing on the 1% of players whose sole purpose is to keep pumping out content they more hollow, and lackluster this game will become.

4 RespuestasThis Article makes me want to Destiny 1 again.

7 RespuestasLove that this is on top, where it belongs. There needs to be a reckoning with this game. It's a long time coming. Joe Staten - Marty O'Donnell and the others who were fired or smart enough to bounce after the team was gone. These are the true creators of a legacy. They deserve to have it back, 100%. It's their baby. I know they won't do it but if they could, if they could allow them all back and not interfere and let them do whatever the hell they want, this game could be great.

2 RespuestasScarabs are just dung beetles... 😉

2 RespuestasThis FOMO is crap. The only time it should come into the game is through holiday loot and events. Not seasonal swapping.

9 RespuestasYou know, I sometimes forget that Luke Smith is a WOW Scarab Lord, which is strange because he brings it up so often in all his spoken interviews ( obviously this is his peak accomplishment in life, which is sad ). But it does explain a lot about why Bungie continues to build Destiny around the top 1%, and the people who no life Destiny. Because he’s able to relate to this type of player ( because in another game, this was him ). The problem is, the vast amount of people who ‘want’ to play this game aren’t interested in the same things that Luke Smith is. I’ve long argued that it is not in Bungie’s best interest to build Destiny around the wants and needs of such a small percentage of its playerbase.

1 RespuestaLast year This article would have been about Activision and any opinion saying otherwise would have been labelled a fan boy. Now you see Activision weren’t the problem you convinced yourself they were.

11 RespuestasTo Luke Smith! It's time for you to move on to something else other than Destiny. Because you are destroying this game!

13 RespuestasVery good article. After reading this, I came to the conclusion that Luke Smith has to change or leave. If he doesn't, then this game is lost. IMO.

Spot on 👍

1 RespuestaEditado por an Ape with a d2 addiction: 3/16/2020 1:42:08 PMBungo has been stumbling from one mistake laden success to another for years. Always hitting the nail either a bit too hard or just enough in an off angle that it bends akwardly and needs to be straightened. Rinse and repeat. That has been my expectation for a while now. The smooth gunplay + movement's the only redeeming aspect that's stayed a constant companion.

A lot of what was in that article is stuff I've been saying here on the forums for years (and constantly butting my head against the 10,000 character limit thus having to cut 90% of it out). The main message has been at the crux of Destiny's troubles since even the beginning of D1: the game is not rewarding, and every time it starts to be Bungie swoops in and nerfs the living shit out of it.
