Title says it all, I will not even consider buying the next season until I see a formal response to the concerns others and myself have shared regarding the news weapons will have a shelf life communicated by Luke Smith in the latest Director's cut (2020).
I suppose I am posting this to hopefully encourage others to consider doing the same, there are still issues with Destiny overall but the problems of the past should not return.
Considering that the lack of content and player build limits due this very issue was at the core of Destiny at it's worst I believe this is worth squeezing the wallet over.
EDIT 3/4/2020
Cozmo has officially confirmed this is being internally discussed as a community concern that, by and large, most of the community is against.

Thank you Cozmo for keeping us in the loop. Please make sure to stress the levels of opposition you and the feedback team are seeing regarding the weapon shelf life proposal.
Thanks again.

1 RespuestaCosmo responded yesterday, and said their was nothing new to add. So there's your response, so spend your $10 and shut up. It's happening
-
1 RespuestaThis game is trash
-
I don't think that's supposed to go into affect until season 12. Smith mentioned it among his "Y4 revamping" of seasons.
-
1 RespuestaWhoa whoa whoa Bungie, F12 is pulling out the big guns. If you make these changes, he’s taking his ball and goin’ home.
-
12 RespuestasI already pre-ordered. I'm fine with the changes. They did the same thing in the taken king. I don't have as much of a reason to play when I have many God rolls or pinnacle weapons. Gear retiring will give me more reason to get new gear.
-
Nope. I love it and already bought it.
-
See you next week in season 10.

22 RespuestasEditado por Gekko415: 3/3/2020 10:24:48 PMIt’s 10 bucks. You literally can’t buy a burger and fries for that much anymore. 20 min for 10 bucks to eat it. I bet you will play the campaign do some random stuff and spend more than a few hours for 10 bucks. Please tell me where the internet has touched you wrong. Take your ten bucks and please find a better game to play and if it is better I will spend my ten dollars there too. Edit: sorry 8.54 at Wendy’s plus a med frosty for ten bucks. Thanks for being dollar menu trolls. Its not the point here. Am I mad about it yea you could say so. Trials cool streamers will get more revenue and 20 percent of the player base will get trials. The menagerie over and over sucks. No raid??? Well we don’t know yet but that sucks. Am I still going to play? Yea as well as everyone else that’s mad.

Editado por RichGhost77: 3/3/2020 10:15:51 PMHell no. Next season looks awesome. Can't wait to purchase at the earliest opportunity! I didn't bother buying Dawn, cos it was a bit trash (but didn't feel the need to broadcast this on the internet) But the future of destiny looks great now, take my moniiiies

The weapons arent being retired.. They will be eventually capped at a certain power level
-
I won't be buying the next major expansion. I already bought SK delux due to the promise that things would be better. So much for that.

Their response will be "we don't care, we're doing it anyway." "But we'll listen to the communities feedback and concerns after implementation."
-
2 RespuestasWeapon retirement, by it's definition, is meaningless. It doesn't do anything positive for the players. It simply gives Bungie a more hands on approach for micromanaging the meta, rather than blanket archetype nerfs. Instead of doing their jobs they'll just take your content. Hard pass.
-
But you'll still play every day till then though? If you don't like it, stop playing. Bungie isn't going to lose much by people not buying, as there's going to be many many more who bought the deluxe edition of shadowkeep. If this change is really that bad, then you need to vote with your play time. Live service games live and breath on player engagement, if you could actually act on these things instead of making forum posts saying what you're going to do, things might change. They probably won't, but there's more chance than if you're continuing to put 6 hours a day in.

I am also fine with the changes. Mixes things up a little makes me try new weapons.
