Dang thats the one thing thats going to kill the excitement for me, with power enabled only the players that no life this game like streamers will be allowed to enjoy the mode. I play the game a lot but I’m not about to kill myself to get as much light as possible to get an advantage over other players. As soon as I saw power is enabled I already don’t care for it, I’ve seen power level 1200 on iron banner and my bows were dealing 89 headshot damage. Does anyone really think trials is going to be balanced when we cant even compete with those types of players? No point in making a sandbox when players only gotta have more light than you to wreck you in 1-2 shots
Edith: so I saw a ton of replies about how I fought a guy with 1200 light, I went back to check on the guy and silly me I did over exaggerate. His light was 1028. His light was still not far off from the majority of players in the game with 970-980 max. This person was able to reach that light and my bows were dealing 89 to the head. The point is, light level will ruin trials unless artifacts get disabled. Idk how my exaggeration was more important than the point I was trying to make lol.
Edith #2: if I didn’t make it clear, I have no issues with power enabled IF there is a cap. We have artifacts though and they allow you to level up indefinitely which is where the real issue is

249 RespuestasTrials of Osiris will have power enabled and artifact power will affect all activities. We are aware of the concerns around this and will be keeping a close eye on player data and feedback when the season begins. Feel free to share your thoughts on this and if you think we should make any changes in the future.

21 RespuestasPlease tell me you were not fool enough to believe that Bungie would make trials free? It’s funny how some people live in denial talking shit about those who think until they suddenly play the astonished card. I got news for you, this is a business, and you’re nothing more than a cow to milk for Bungie.

2 RespuestasThe level advantage isnt that great. The last two Iron Banners I have played at over 1,000 light. Over xmas I played when I was literally 40 levels above some of the players. I still wasnt able to two tap or anything like that. I would see maybe, at best, a 3 or 4 point difference in my damage numbers. The only noticeable difference that I experience is that I can tank a titan shoulder charge (if he is running arc - solar will still burn me out).

Why are people saying that it doesn't really do anything. An extra shot from any weapon in the game significantly changes the ttk and gives one player a clear advantage. Not to mention it simultaneously enables the advantaged player to not have to hit headshots. This is very clearly an advantage. One player has to hit four shots with 3 being crit or maybe just 2 while the other player has to land 3 and only 2 have to be crits. Trials is most definitely not the place for this. Item level is one thing but artifact power has no place. If trials is gonna thrive this has to be changed otherwise it will attract no new players and will actively push people away who dont have the time or the willpower to grind the artifact

1 RespuestaThe difference is D1 had a light level cap. You couldn’t go past the cap until a new DLC rolled out. With d2 the seasonal artifact has no cap. So someone out there can just farm light level until they are 100 light levels above you. Then they could body shot you with a high impact sniper with no damage buffs in trials. I am fine with light level being a thing as long as there is a cap. They said they wanted trials to be fair and balanced but that rich guy that has no responsibilities or that streamer that it is their job to play can just farm light level. There should be a 10-30 light level range and cap each season.

1 Respuesta100% agree with you. Power Level & Artifact in Trials is a HUGE MISTAKE !!!

2 RespuestasWah.... I’m 47, 2 kids and a real job.... my artifact is plus 21 this season.... grind you baby... I’m assuming these posts are all high school kids who can’t play until after school and have to goto bed early..

Its pinnacle PVP of course its Power enabled..... Wtf are you guys all smoking?!?!

12 RespuestasAlready replied on another post, but here: With LL enabled, it keeps free to play cheater accounts from ruining the gamemode. Cheaters will now have to power level accounts should there previous ones be banned, significantly stifling the problem.

Trials fear has always been awarded as pinnacle gear.
-
Keep LL enabled, but 86 Supers.

The REAL truth is that the hard core pvp crowd wants to gate keep the pve crowd from ever getting trials rewards. Nobody is going to say it, though. But I will. The more people playing trials the better.

3 RespuestasI wasn't mad before (yesterday). I was fine with whatever because I felt nothing. But now.....but now my blood is boiling after the director cut and Cosmos crazy response (not that he has any control but still). I'm getting a headache even thinking about the stupid s*** bungies doing and the direction the game is going in. Everytime I even think of playing I read something stupid is or has happened.

Don't play it if u don't like it

Don't worry, they also put an expiration date on the trials weapons.

2 RespuestasThere needs to be a cap. After 10 levels above the other player, no more multiplier. Or get rid of it entirely and put a light cap on people.

2 RespuestasDo you have any proof that you were doing 89 to the head? Cause without screenshots or evidence, I'm convinced you're either lying, or you remember it wrong. Cause I didn't do so little damage at any point last week.

2 RespuestasTrials is was and will be an END GAME activity. Sorry you're not going to be able to make a new alt every time you get banned

2 RespuestasNot a big PVP player, but the only great thing that we can all agree on that is going to be amazing about Trials is Saint-14 is the commentator! 🤣👍

43 RespuestasOkay, does someone with a higher light level have an advantage? True. Can you up your power level by grinding content? True. Will it force you to play PvE content to do so to the maximum? True. Does this make Trials unfair? False. A a competitive athlete, I had a choice; commit to be my best or take what I got. I chose to work harder than everyone else I knew because I wasn’t leaving anything to chance. I would have laughed at anyone who suggested I had an unfair advantage because I prepared more. Trials is tournament. It’s meant to be the sweatiest of the sweaty. If you want to approach it casually, fine, but no use complaining about power level. That’s on you.

5 RespuestasEnabling power is fine. Enabling the Artifact (be it light level or mods) is a different story......
